engine missing
Hi chaps.
I have a cosworth powered kit car and as the sun was out today I went for a spin,
after about twenty miles it developed a miss, it was like turning the ignition of and then on again. It started to get more and more frequent as I tryed to get it home and at one point cut out completly. after a few minutes it started up and missed a few more times but I got it home. Now when you rev the engine the turbo does not seem to spin up. could this be the cause of it or what ever is causing the miss nacked the turbo .

sorry for my ignorance but what is a cps connector and if the turbo is ok why does the engine feel flat with no kick in the pants as the turbo comes in. I have a 4 inch exhaust pipe and before when you reved it you could here the turbo spin but now you cant

Hearing the turbo spin is worrying.
The CPS is the crank position connector, situated at the front of the engine at the sump, you will see it as it takes signalks from lugs on the crank pulley, has a white wire leading to a connector, that normally sits in a bracket just below the distributor height.
You are not ignorant, but intelligent enough to ask!!
