Default strange EFI cold start prob

EFI series 2 rs turbo been fine for months, just decided last week not too start when its cold? battery cranks engine over for a good few mins so it aint flat just wont go. if i bump it it runs fine, then will start on its own again untill left for say more than 5 hours

any ideas as the old people at work are fed up with pushing it everyday

check the cranking voltage to the coil ,or it could be a lazy starter motor sapping all the current

The EDIS-4 box seems to be quite picky about the voltage it gets. I fit doesn't work properly, it doesn't give a trigger signal to the EEC-IV box. Try if cranking with lights, fan, radio, ... disactivated helps.
Well, it's a long shot, but anyhow first check if you're getting a spark. If not, then you have isolated the problem pretty well.

hi thanks for the starter points, it cranks over with noting on at all will sit there cranking for 3 mins but will not fire i am sure it turns too slow as it seam too turn much faster when its warmed a little. if i turn whilst in gear as soon as i get the car moving a little engine speed increases and car will then start.

Seems you do have an electrical problem, as cranking i believe you should have a stronger spark.I've heard a few times about this problem over the years so it must be fairly common, try phoning so of the tuning guys who have more running problem knowledge.Al.
