The EDIS-4 box seems to be quite picky about the voltage it gets. I fit doesn't work properly, it doesn't give a trigger signal to the EEC-IV box. Try if cranking with lights, fan, radio, ... disactivated helps.
Well, it's a long shot, but anyhow first check if you're getting a spark. If not, then you have isolated the problem pretty well.
