Induction kit, fitted correctly?
Have I fiited my induction kit on my 2.0 DOHC correctly?
I have put it stright onto the inlet manifold as shown here.......

But!!!!! Should it go somewhere in the airbox area, maybe at the entrance to the airbox, pipe that goes in?? Only thing that makes me think this is there is a little round silver thing with a plug coming from it, im sure this seems to have some input to the levels of air going in??

It will not work here as you have bypassed the idle speed control valve, the little round silver thing!!
It needs to fit somewhere before this so the pipe this valve is on will still be used, unless you rearrange pipework so this valve still feeds into the engine.

Thanks Tabetha
She runs ok, but was wondering if it was ok due to the silver thing! I will have to do some mod' work on the pipe that the silver thing lives on so the filter can fit onto it.

fitting the air filter like that is no problem at all, the only thing you might notice is the ISCV on the pipe getting clogged up a bit over time with day to day dust and shite.
Clean the ISCV out and it will be fine. There is no mass air flow device or anything like that, and the ISCV does what it says on the tin - contols the idle speed on a cold engine or when the engine is under load at idle - IE, got headlights and heaters on etc etc.
PS - This is Gracey posting on Craigs account

Thank you! So the little silver thing is an ISCV (does it stand for Idle S? Control Valve??!!)
Is cleaning it the same as cleaning an AFM, a few sprays of carb cleaner?

Take it apart before you spray it with carb cleaner or you will dissove the wiring.
Effectively it's a bypass valve so air can pass your throttle butterfly when it's closed.
t will work like this but I think you might need to put a airfilter between the ISCV and the Throttlebody. (the thin hose)
