Default Head gasket??

Hey all i was out and about yesterday when my car startin makin a loud knockin sound. I got it home and checked the oil. And there was none in. But i know i had but some in last sunday.. I took the water cap bottle of and the water came out all frothy and foamy? Do u think it could be the head thats gone.?

Almost definately a headgasket failure.

And as for the knocking, sounds like you've also caused yourself an expensive rebuild if there was no oil in there.......new bottom end required i expect

oh right i have been offered a new engine for 50 pound. Its another 1.6 is that worth getting?

probably as bad, if not worse, than the one in there now.
