id almost guarentee that the anti-rattle clip is missing from the pads mate, take wheel off and check that. If it is, they are a few quid from Ford. Cheers

When you say "rattle", do you mean more of a "knock"? Because it sounds like maybe a bottom ball-joint knocking due to wear.

I've had two cases, one Fiat Panda, one Ulysses, and both had a knock from the front drivers-side when over rough ground and turning right (due to the weight lifting off the suspension). Both cars were only 2 years old, and both sounded like worn drop-links until we checked the bottom ball-joint on the wishbone.

Hope this helps.

common knocks are front centre anti-roll- bar bushes and front lower arm rear bushes. take off your wheel and look at the lower suspension arm. there are 2 bushes in the sub frame, look to see if they are perished or split. as for the anti roll bar bushes visually check to see if the inner part of the bus looks a rusty colour, or get under and give the roll bar a good tug to check for movement.
if these items havent been replaced before, they deffinately will soon! SO COMMON!!!
