Any ford peeps - removing 2012 focus ST centre console?
Evening all, bought a new shape focus ST 3 weeks ago and its got a rather annoying rattle emanating from the left side of the centre console.
I have removed the front part of the trim, the cup holder and the bits out the armrest and still the noise is there.
Oddly it only does it when going in a straight line, turn left or right and it stops...
If i put my hand down between the passenger seat and press on the trim it stops.
There is a wiring loom that runs that side so wondering if a connector etc is vibrating against the inside.
I got as far as removing 5 torx screws from the armrest lid but cant remove the rear most part as i dont want to break it, i can see 2 clips at the bottom, but it wouldnt come off.
There are 2 tab parts either side of the hinge for the arm rest that i could pull out slightly, but other than that the top part is on solid.
As said, i dont want to break anything so have not been too forceful.
Is there an exploded diagram etc i could see how its all held together?
Also if anyone has a list of what is involved at each service i would be grateful, car is just on 27k miles.
Cheers!
