lean running when boosting

lean running when boosting
what causes a car to run lean and miss-fire when coming on boost i was at a rolling road shoot out today and my car was miss-firing badly. I have been suffering from a miss-fire for a while but could not for the life of me locate the problem 
. i thought it might be ignition related but i have tried a different coil pack, ht leads, and two sets of plugs. now it looks like a lack of fuel is causing my miss-fire.
my fuel pressure gauge is showing that the pump is funtioning properly any ideas what the problem could be ie fuel pressure regulator?
