Hi folks...wondered if anyone can help??
Iam currently just finished my first turbo conversion and still abit unsure about a couple of things...car does run tho so well chuffed!!

On the turbo, there is the actuator, which has a 8 or 10mm hoses coming off it.....does this get connected to what looks like a large bleed nipple on the front of the turbo??

Is this what you would fit a bleed valve into to adjust the boost level??

yes you are correct....although it would be just as good to run a standard type boost controller (amal valve) this way the ecu can have control of your boost (depending what ECU you run,if any) but will at least give the facility of a boost cut if needed

Cool...i see. Does said amal valve intercept this same hose??

I have a Frst turbo engine with T3 conversion in my Mk2 orion Ghia (was 1.6 efi) so plan to turn boost right down at moment until i get Fez turbo management, so by putting this this bleed valve in here i should be able to do this i guess...stop instant detonation..lol

New to the turbo game so all help is much appreciated, its one big learning curve!!

to be honest,the bleed valve idea is fine provided once you have the fuelling matched to your boost level,you don't alter it!!

i'd set it so you only see 5 or 6 psi and have it checked over/set up by a good company...

then once you decide on management go all out boost

Fez RST amal valve connects to the points you mentioned (the ports are marked C for compressor housing and W for wastegate from memory)

but they are different to Escort RST/Cossie amal valves.

The only thing i would say mate is running it on standard EFI XR management isn't going to be a good idea.......i would seriously urge you to get it on FRST management at the very minimum, could melt the engine down otherwise......
