Default Are CVH 1.6 Carb & Injection Heads Identical?

Hi ppl just been to get my 1.6CVH on a Webber Carb tuned and have been told the head needs repairing (ie at least sounds like the cams shot anyway).

Been meaning to pull the head off for a while and reseat the valves etc but don't have the time to do a full overhaul at the mo.

So the question is if I buy another head off fleabay or wherever are they all the same or is the one I need (ie no distributor type) different to other/later ones????

Please help as I can't afford to buy the wrong type!

Thanks

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Well anyway, you could have a bit of a problem knowing until you get the head off. All the CVH engines changed over to leanburn quite a number of years back, EXCEPT for the injection engines which retained hemi heads.

Any ideas what age car the engine came out of?
