I have a friend who have made alot of research before buying DYNOJET widebandcommander.... Zeitronix is no crap.. but different from others...all have there own force

In and against for them all was display/gauge or not... datalogging or nat.. output chanals or not.. and very importent, PRICE!!

I have been reading a hole lot about the DynoJet... it realy nice all though it would be top up to date with a more modern gauge Why din I not buy it.. no money

Hi guys

Im more of a reader than a poster but thought id show my thoughts on Zeitronix.

In all honesty its one of the best things ive bought for my Escort Cosworth. I did extensive research on what was on the market including what Innovate had to offer.

Luckily my friend has a Saph with an Innovate system which gave me a proper opportunity to check it out. Although a great piece of kit i must admit, it was just another gauge full of 'twinkly LEDs' which is total crap if you ask me... ok not as bad as an AFR meter that just wiggles about and really tells you nothing! Bonus being the digi display in the middle so it does do the job nicely.

Not overly impressed with the lnnovate gauge i bit the bullet and bought a Zeitronix from www.tuninguk.co.uk (same guy i think as on eBay?)

So far i have not found one problem or quarm with the system!

I went the whole hog and purchased all the sensors and the LCD screen, which is slightly larger than a pack of smokes. Looks superb on the dash and is always a 'Whats that?' piece for passengers

Now from the screen i have a great line up of Boost, EGT, Lamdba and AFR! All in one little neat package and not a pile of gauges making my dash look messy and thats before you pop the laptop in!

Doing so allows you to map and graph the AFR against all the other measured parameters and log them all for future review.

If your into tinkering your own fuel maps and have a half decent old laptop then i cannot fault this system at all! I think you can also use a PDA with it aswell if you dont have a laptop to spare...?

eBay crap.... not a chance! Type in AFR and see some of the rubbish that pops up, such as 40quid gauges! About as accurate as the US WMD search of Iraq and use crappy low cost narrowband sensors which actually tell you bugger all other than the engine running lean!

Keep up the good work chaps

Forgot to mention aswell the Zeitronix uses the Bosch LSU4.2 Wideband sensor aswell

This is the one that you mount (as far in as possible) to the exhaust tip or on a sampling tube, as it uses the 'pumping cell' if it has minimal flowing passing over it.

Hi again chaps.

I got my full kit for a shade over 400 pounds, including all the sensors, while it was all on offer

Just had a look on Tuning UK again and everything looks to be a bit cheaper again! http://www.tuninguk.co.uk/zeitronix_equipment?b=1 Good time to get in there!

Rich (i think) who runs it, is also a very helpful chap, but i believe he runs it mostly on his own with a part time assistant so dont be upset if you dont get instant replys on email.

Regards

Simon.

Hello JanDK.

Yes they have the wideband and screen on offer for £275, i think youll need to ask about international shipping though.

You need extra bits and bobs to output boost and EGT though.

with IAW Monitor, you see exactly what the ECU is seeing and acting on in the maps. With external things like the zeitronix or the SECS monitor, you are using a separate analog to digital converter so you don't know if the ECU is seeing the same thing. therefore IMO, IAW Monitor is much safer

Isnt the SECS monitor wired to the ecu, so reads exactly what the ecu is seeing

that's NOT the same. the SECS monitor uses it's own analogue to digital converters (not calibrated the same as the ecu one's for a start). if the ecu has a fault, you would not see it with a SECS monitor, but you would with this software or a pectel monitor.
