Hi there guys.
I have a friend with a 1.1 mk3 Fiesta, who is having trouble with her car.
Basically, when she turns the key to the 1st position, the radio comes on.
However, when she tries to start the car, all power cuts out, including to the radio.
Any ideas?
I think loose connection or broken ignition switch, but don't really know much about ford's.

sounds like a earth or maybe a bad battery

 

any ideas where that earth could be?
as we are at uni at the moment, with no access to a multimeter to test it.
and being a student, can't really afford to take it to the garage!
