Default Tech Info on using ST170 or cossie brakes as upgrades.

Thought this might be useful for some people as I get asked about them a lot via PM and e-mail.

Fiesta Mk3 onwards
300mm caliper - st170 disc = no spacer. M12 x 30mm bolt
278mm caliper - Esc cos disc = 5mm spacer. M12 x 35mm bolt

Escort Mk3 & 4
300mm caliper - st170 disc = 14mm spacer. M12 x 45mm bolt
278mm caliper - st24 disc = 12mm spacer. M12 x 42mm bolt.
278mm caliper - 2wd cossie disc ( 283 ) = 2mm spacer. M12 x 30 bolt.
CALIPER MAY NEED A BIT RELIEVING AS THE DISC IS SLIGHTLY BIGGER ( AS NORMAL ON 4X4 CALIPER 2WD DISC KITS!! )

Escort Mk5 onwards
300mm caliper - st170 disc = no spacer. M12 x 30mm bolt.
278mm caliper - esc cos disc = 2mm spacer. M12 x 32mm bolt.
278mm caliper - st24 disc = 2mm spacer behind disc or remove 2mm from carrier!

Mondeo
300mm caliper - st170 disc = 2mm spacer. M12 x 32 bolt.
278mm caliper - st24 disc = no spacer. M12 x 30 bolt.

What is the spacer exactly? Wheel spacer? or something else?

Might seem like a daft question, but how about using Focus RS Mk1 Hubs/brakes on an odinary MK Focus?
