Default Help with Maverick Gearbox removal

Hi all
I am new to this forum and didnt realise it was for owners with really special Fords
I think my clutch in my maverick 4x4 2.7td is shot, as the pedal is really heavy and I have to push the pedal almost through the floor to acheive a smooth gear change, also the biting point is really low near the floor and there is some clutch judder when I move off .
Can anyone confirm this and does anyone have any knowlege of removing the Gearbox to change the clutch, are there any pitfalls that I should watch out for?
How difficult is it for a home mechanic with basic garage and tools ?
thanks

Abs

think theres a good chance you have to remove the torsoin bars when removing the gearbox, I seem to remember this from an episode of the garage
