Default cossie tuners norfolk area.

hi fella's,ive just bought my 1st cossie,its a '90' 4x4 saph.
i can see it has light blue injectors, motorsport leads, breather kit, induction kit, scorpion exhaust, receipts for low comp pistons and bd10's,car is running 15psi,idle is high about 1200 rpm,co2 is high 8.00%,starts and runs o.k,slight knocking noise when cold, pulls well but runs out of steam fairly quick.it obviously needs setting up.im a car mechanic so i can play with stuff but i lack tuning knowledge.im waiting for a new map sensor, turbo actuator, oil pressure and oil temp gauges before i take to a rolling road for a setup.
is there anyone or any company that tune up cossies in and around norfolk?
whats the recomended route to take with what i have already?
also how can i tell if its been chipped?
how do i know if it is a 200 or 205 block?
how can i tell what turbo it has fitted?

Hi, Light blue injectors normally flow enougth fuel for 370-430bhp, Dark blue injectors (standard) flow 200-270, 15psi is stage 1 tune 270bhp as standard is 10psi 220bhp. Being that its 4x4 it should have the 200 block, Running this amount of boost i should of thought that it has a modified chip the only way to know is by removing the ecu and having a look inside.

If it's running 15PSI then it must be chipped. As to config of chip unless you have a reliable receipt to look at only other way is to open ECU as said and have a look at chip, normally it's printed on top at to what it's written for I.E Stage 1. Unless someone has put a 205 in a 4x4 car which wouldent make sense and wouldent last long with 4x4 it will be 200 block as standard.

High idle can be adjusted by means of a adjustment screw underneath throttle body must be done with car upto running temp, simply screw anti clockwise with a screwdriver until a idle speed of 850 RPM is achieved.

Knocking is proably top end related and is nothing to worry about (Hydralic Lifters), is the oil clean and has the car been standing a while?

From the sounds of it you may have a boost leak as I think your car would be at stage 3 + by looking at the spec of the engine and should make more than 15PSI.

Boost pressure will have no effect on C.O or idle speed as no boost is produced then. Idle speed should be adjusted as the post above said but the idle speed control valve needs to be unpluged too. Doing a boost leak test is a good idea as i done one on mine recently and found 3 leaks form as little as 10psi 1 injector seal, Air charge sensor and boost hose.
