I called Mark Shead as I needed to get him to get the vipec ecu to talk to my toucan screen, he mentioned he was in GUILDFORD today mapping Cossie Daves gorgeous escos, I dropped the bits to him and Dave and Mark said it would be OK to stay and watch, Mark actually invited me to stay which was nice of him. There were a group of us there and really nice to meet some other forum members, great bunch and really friendly. I won't give away the number it made, I will let Mark or Dave post up but suffice to say it came in within 0.8 bhp of Marks estimate and made my 469bhp look a little bit weedy.

It's a shame you didnot just run it all till your new stuff turns up as its been such a long time it's been off the road .
So wots the plan with all the skyline stuff / sell on / split it up / keep it for rainy day ?

I will probably new sell it all or in parts.

I don't plan the car being off the road long at all, I am doing a few jobs now and prepping for the new box to go in. I am happy that I have had some experience driving it again and now I can address the issues that I found whilst shaking it down.

MT75 box on its way to bara for the oppliger kit this week. New paddle clutch on way from Reyland to suit the 4x4 splines, new needle roller spigot bearing on the way. Waiting on MK Motorsport as he is having my bladed arb plated and powder coated and then the rebuild can begin.

I will then package up the Skyline stuff to sell in bits or whole although someone already has first refusal on some of it.

I have posted off the 4X4 props to Prop Shaft Services today to get the front prop extended by 25mm and the rear mid prop (pre bearing) reduced by 25mm to allow for the oppliger long box. They will be balanced and painted then returned in about a week.

Ordered a load more bits today and MK (Marc Kinsey) is making up a new expansion tank for me in exchange for some bits. Reyland should send me the new clutch plate by the end of this week...I am going to need a "goods inwards" department the rate parcels are coming in. I cant wait to get back on the road with it.

Trying not to.

Just ordered a load of -6 and -10 stuff from speedflow to got with the new header tank.

Next is the 6 degree beam from Mk that will be adapted to take the Supra diff without the need for the diff fitting kit, I can then sell on my fitting kit. Should be ordering that any time now...just have to stop looking at his pics of WRC cradles and arms with billet hubs, I can see the benefits but a lot of dosh and I think more than that I would need more structural alterations and seeing as this will not be raced I wonder if I would notice just how good it is? MK thinks there would be no comparison but there are levels eh? after all the 6 degree should improve it a lot.

Stick with the 6 deg beam mate, ive been down the WRC route and its a lot of expense and hassle for no gain really on a road car.

Thanks, you are not the only one to tell me. I have therefore made my mind up to go with the 6 Degree. Thanks all

Once the front and rear are done and I can cornerweight it LEDA are going to make me some bespoke units for the coilovers with some good adjustment in them and then I will send it off to the boys that set up Marc Kinseys (MK WRC Fiesta) and then it should handle the best it can.

I have gone for the uprated Viscous Coupling in the Oppliger and Bara says that this improves handling too.

Now if I can only get Oppliger to actually sell me the quick shift kit that I have been badgering him to take my money for I should have most things lined up.

It is something that I asked Mark to do, he is happy to sell you a beam and fabricate it to accept the Supra diff without the kit as long as you are willing to pay for his time to do it. It is around another 50% on top but makes it a more simple setup in my opinion.

Lots of deliveries today. Retro ford adjustable gearbox cradle as my tunnel needs a new support. I will use this as a base to fabricate from and use a std Cossie gearbox mount rubber.

Paddle clutch from Reyland and lots of speed flow fittings including the proper spanners. Both companies provided excellent service. External slave cylinder also came from Reyland but that has already gone off to Bara to be fitted to the oppliger box.

Just picked up my winter wheels from the refurb co. These are a semi chrome for my 1.9gti

Centre caps are going to be grey

Winters for the Cossie pug, just need winter tyres now

With chrome caps. Wheels came off Pat Dorans Wrc or Rallycross car according to the geezer that twirls spanner for his cars.

6 degree beam now ordered with MK and will be done to take the supra diff without a fitting kit. Having it powder coated whilst it is being done.

I got the servo working today on the brakes using a pug 405 non abs master cylinder which is 23.8mm and a 205 servo mated on to the part 205 and part ford pedal box. I hope this will be the final setup for the brakes.

Just going to meet Mark as he is mapping another car near me, I am picking up my ecu as he has had it to make sure it speaks to my toucan screen. Hopefully bolt up my track control arms this weekend and get the mt75 clutch plate and high clamp helix cover on and lined up for the new box.

Some tasty bits mate do like the look of mk's gear , I'd go black on the beam personally break up the colours abit but that's just me will you be putting a breather on the gearbox like 800bhp ? Decided on alloy or 200 block?

Mk stuff does look good have you got MK tca arms yet? Could you put up a pic if you have. You will need breathes for the box. Id go black on the beam or you could always go smurf blue

Ok, black it is. I think the tcas will be here by fri or sat so will post up pics. Thanks for heads up on breather for the box, I will get on to that. Good call as trying to assemble all the bits before the box gets here.

I am still leaning towards the alloy block but need to chat the spec with Mark. I really want 2.2 or 2.4 but don't see me going above the 500 - 600 mark. Just seen ANOTHER 700bhp engine being mapped though, gorgeous 3 door 4wd. I drove home thinking how I could sneak a 3 door in past the wife.

I think the smurf blue might be there forever, it keeps getting dirty so will do it black when the engine is rebuilt lol. I will probably hide a smurf in the car though so if it ever shows up in a pic you will see me winking at you.

Bara emailed me a load of pics of the MT75 donor box that I had shipped directly to him, it looks like it has stood with no oil in it for a while so things like needle rollers need replacing as rusted. Chain is very worn so another bit of cash to spend. Oh well, it will be worth it in the end.
