Peugeot 205 with 4wd cosworth engine and running gear.
After hearing about a few car fires I thought I would fit a proper msa approved battery isolator, I went with one that stops the car running on the alternator and completely cuts the earth along with power to the ecu and fuel pump.
I went for the Solid state cartek, it is expensive (bought from demon tweeks) but seems to work really well, I have an internal cut button which doubles as the reset and then it has an external one too....I haven't decided where to put that yet as I don't need to comply with any rules.

I got my front bladed ARB mounts today from Mark at MK, they will be a great base for me to fabricate from...I expect people will will be able to work out where his welding ends and mine starts though.
Just the 6 degree beam to go now

You are right and it does my head in every time I look at it. It will be corrected soon, it only sits like that due to the new mount for the oppliger gearbox, now that I have removed the front standard ARB I no longer need the hump and restrictive flat in the pipe so I am going to have that section cut out and a straight put in, at the same time I will get them to raise the rear for better ground clearance and level the box. I think I will have more room with the new rear beam too as it will do away with the Supra fitting kit which I think will give a few cm more room.
Ramps are back in the ground, need to put the floor tiles back and tidy up now.
I have been painting the walls to freshen it up, once it is all sorted I can look to fit my front bladed arb.

I got my stack shift light working today so that is another job off the list.
I have offered up the bladed anti roll bar for the front and with a bit of fabrication I can get the MK mounts to work on the 205 chassis. Then once Mark Walker (mk) delivers the rear 6 degree beam I can see if I can get a rear bar in there too, I can then really soften the springs and fit the new Leda dampers that I am going to order then get it all set up by a chassis guru.
MK thinks he may drive the beam down over the next week in his van which will be good news.
I will get some pics up of the anti roll bar soon, I plan to fit it with riv nuts (steel) and the weld it in place.

If I can get my 6 degree beam from MK then I can get that fitted and dialled in too.
Thanks, it is starting to feel very direct with the steering. I think I will be able to soften it quite a bit though although it is not much firmer than a standard 205 right now but I do want it really supple, that should help when it does lose traction as it is 20cm shorter wheelbase than an sapphire and I don't want it too snappy.
I went and filled up with petrol today and the box and diffs seem to be getting looser with each mile I put on it, before I could not push it in neutral but I can now, it used to roll freely on the original diffs and I am sure it is those that are tight.
The shift of the oppliger is very short and precise but I still cannot get over the rate of acceleration in 2nd and often take my foot off the throttle before the shift lights.

Took the car to my mate to laser align the front geo, we struggled to get below 2.7 meg camber due to the 205 front being thinner than a cossie. I will need to bring the front in to 2 to 2.5 deg. The tracking also needs a little more adjustment so need to take a bit more off the steering arms but it is all pointing in the same direction now and the compression struts make it so easy to set the castor. It drove so nicely on the way home, still spins the wheels if you boot it from a rolling speed at 5000rpm in 3rd gear on a cold and damp road.
Turn in is really fast with very detailed feel....I have loads more of scope in terms of damping, spring poundage and adjusting the arb but it is getting better all the time.
Finally got chance to run it through 2nd, 3rd and the 4th changing around 6000rpm....my god it gets through the gears quick

Today I got the speedo working again as the MK Wrc hubs hide the bolts I was using for the sensor to see, now I have it working and re calibrated and all is well again.
I also had a slight rub on a calliper so I sorted that and now the brakes are lovely and quiet.
Next jobs are to get a bit more camber off the front to get under 2 neg and to get the exhaust back level.
I have put a few miles on it this weekend and the car is freeing up, I can now push it again.
