Default My Mk5b Project

I have now had my Escort a year and as some of you know, my car has changed a fair bit, especially this last month.

This is how it looked when i bought it:

Not very exciting

First thing to change were the wheels (and about a bottle of Back-To-Black):

Then i had it lowered 35/40mm, fitted a laguna splitter, clear oval repeaters and a black messed grille. I also got me some new number plates:

It stayed like that till last month, when (after about 6months of collecting parts) some major changes took place.

I fitted a Mk5 RS2000 front bumper, Mk6 Rear bumper with Spats and got a Peco BB2 back box thrown on (only cos the standard one just wouldn't do).

Also for those that have seen it, i have a few areas of rust and dintage:

Then I dropped it off at a bodyshop (with the Mk5 RS side skirts shoved in the back). It was gone a week ;(

But when i got it back....

I have never smiled so much

As you can see i also fitted Mk6 wing mirrors and re-used my laguna splitter on the new bumper

I am so happy with the way it now looks.

All the rust and dents are gone and its looking fooooking sexy

Whats next i hear you ask...

Well its going in for its MOT on thursday ( ), then the following week i will fit cossie headlights and side lights.

Also coming are new tyres and rs2000 brakes. I still have loads of plans left for the 'scort but they an only be done when i have time and money (mainly money :P).

Anyway, what do u guys think?

i disagree. every bread and butter escort comes with a spoiler. i prefer it without. would ruin the smooth look he has acheived

I can see the thinking behind it, but still looks terrible IMO

i'd definitely have a cossie lower on there, that would work with the "smooth" look

i have seen a near identical car to mine with a cossie lower and now i have really gone off the idea, didn't like it.

Won't be doing any major changes after the headlights for a while. The car is booked into the garage for it's MOT on Thursday and I'm really hoping it passes!

Im not a fan of mk5 escorts at all - enough that it puts me off the Esc coz at times. But I actually quite like what u done there It needs a spoiler imo, but dont go silly! something subtle and factory looking as you've used all original ford based items for your body kit which I think looks 10 times better than some aftermarket kit. - It would be a shame to stick a silly DTM spoiler on on it. Maybe a genuine ford cosworth whale tail?

But seriously, the lower esc cos spoiler might go on that nicely.
