fair enough, not sure what management to go for, was consiering fiesta turbo as its so readily available and simple to fit just the ofac ive got is no good for over 1 bar, so i'd need to sell up and get an OFAB setup with 3 bar map sensor.

deffo need to get stuck in. could be a slight change of plan, what you think of a full cage instead of the retrimmed interior?

took a half day from work today so ive finally got an update for you boys and girls

cut the rusty bits out of the drivers side inner arch and bulkhead, more of the rusty bulkhead has been cut out on the battery tray area since these pics

some patches tacked in place

mk3 cabriolet bulkhead tacked in position and welding it permanently underway, this was cut short by the thunder and lightning rainstorm that began

ripper, i only used it briefly, think i slipped

Boris357, not heard a definite answer yet, best one was that they were to allow the paint to drain out the shell when they dip them in electrodip paint in the factory.

Twins, theyve never complained about the grinding/hammering/welding etc, but they complain all the time to the police/council about me starting my motorbike on the drive before i go on a ride out whingey buggers

As far as i am aware they are crumple zones, so in the event of a heavy front ender they absorb the impact slightly, and allow the surounding metal somewhere to crumple into, not sure if they would be all that successfull but the theorys there i suppose.

No, they are to allow the passage of water for maximum rusting effect

Foooooookin hell, big up to you, reminds me of spending hours welding up my S1, keep up the hard work, it will be well worth it in the end.

I really must finish mine

I dont know what those vents in the floor are for, Saffs have them too
