Default track focused itb fiesta st

been lurking around in the background for a while now so thought it was about time a started a thread.

purchased the car 3 or so years ago total standard

how things have changed after my first track day i knew what direction i want the car to go in so first on the list on mods was a pas relocation and cooler as the st's like to boil there fluid on track, i aslo changed the exhaust which was a bugger to fit the manifold and a set of bilstien b12 suspension.

this is how the car was for a while, with a few small changes.

managed to get myself a banger daily so then the interior came out and to cobra imolas went in with a set of prima motorsport 6points and a sparco wheel.

next i wanted something a little different to all the supercharged st's so went to sbdev and came away with a set of the k3 throttle bodies and stage one cam.

after speaking with lee at devils an omex 600 ecu was chosen and the car soon left with him,

it wasnt the easyist to get the bodies in but with some cutting here and there thay were in, there has been a few teething problems along the way so it had a few tweeks of the map and the bonnet been chopped more as the bonnet was cutting into the filer.

Name: IMAG0179.jpg
Views: 581

the next stage was to fit the baffle plate i had remove the ac and fit the brakes.

the brakes are a wilwood superlight caliper with ds2500 pads, and the baffle plate gives me a bit more peace of mind. And that is how it stands at the moment, currently doing more stripping of the car bit and peace here and there. And the next major mod will be a lsd.

spec im sure ive missed bits out

sbd k3 itbs
sbd stage 1 cam
arp rod bolt
acl big end bearings
full miltek exhaust
omex 600

bilstien b12
whiteline 24mm rear anti roll bar
fully pulybushed
pas relocation and cooler
12.5mm rear axle spacer
wilwood 4 pot brakes

cobra imolas
msport boss and sparco wheel
semi striped out
prima motorsport 6 point belts

250-260bhp is my goal my pockets arent deep enough for a 300bhp engine, want to focus on handling for a while first.

picked up my flywheel today it now hits the scales at 5.5kg and was 8-9kg to start it is not alot to look at but should do a job nicely, didnt have to much taken out as the car is still used at the weekends. Now to order the clutch and diff and i can get started.

first of all changed my suspension over from my bilstein b12 to some gaz golds, the b12 were a good fast road setup but the non adjustably of them made them a bit soft for track.

i had the fronts have a bit of camber built into them and this is the result not sure how much ive got as i haven't had the car setup yet.

i also took the box of and dropped it off to have a quaife lsd fitted,

here is the diff

here is the old flywheel vs the lighten one standard one is about 8.5kg this is about 5.5kg

here is the new clutch

Name: IMAG0334_zps4d8a6c59.jpg

haven't got any photos of the fitting back of the box, but it back on and the car is driving again, haven't had a proper drive yet to get a feel of the diff but so far i am impressed. The suspension needs some playing with that is on my list to do next get it all corner weight ect

a few bits have arrived for my oil cooler as well which is were im going to be focused on next once the suspension is sorted,

it a mountune remote filter and cooler

had a bit of strippage over the weekend and the car now looks like this

the removed items

the passenger seat went back this week as well

also had the car put on the scales this week and it tips the scales at 1046kg a saving of 90kg so far from the car if parkers figure are to be believed on curb weight, also when it was on the scales they corner weight the car and got the fronts at roughly 30% with a 1% difference across the front axle and the rears at 18-19% each. i been told this should be quite natural to drive, i will see im booked into brands tomorrow to try out the diff and suspension

Nice little project with some very nice bits! Is the lightened flywheel just a standard one that you had machined?
