Default Mk5 rs2000

Some here will know me on the rs2000-16v.com site, i have been restoring my mk5 rs for nearlly a year, i was getting some bits done to go for the MOT, and came across evidence that the dredid tin worm had been doing his best, rust - lots of rust, so grinder in hand, some new pannels, steel sheet and a mig, i set at it, here are some pics of the work so far,

Thats the shell rust free (as much as possible) and now im preping for paint.
I have done most of the mechanical parts to go back on, a brieff spec is,
Lightend and balanced 2.3, 2k ported (lots) head, piper 285 cams with kent verniers, 45 jenvies, nissan injectors, megasquirt ecu,
RS2k box with quaife atb, 4.1cwp.helix clutch, GAZ coilovers, pollybushed rear, rosejointed front, Cosworth 2wd 4pots on front (so i can run 15's) etc etc.

Hope you like my project. I also have another mk5 2k which is standard trim, (also needs some work)

Changed a few bits, now got piper 300 cams and willwood 325 superlight brakes on the front and jumbo bilsteins, just looking forward to putting it back on the road in May and getting it re-maped.

Some transits have them, not sure which one but would guess it'll be a petrol model with a mtx75 box.

No, it was a new build, it only ran for long enough to run in the 285 cams, even pushed it on and off the trailer when I took it to get mapped,
Looking forward now to get it re-mapped in May and see if there's and difference.
