forgot to text lad, so instead i have a nice update for ya. got it on the spit no problem, will do a 360 easily and takes little effort to turn. so i then bought a wire wheel, it lasted me 45 mins and was worn flat. so i then seeked the help of my uncle who had a huge wire wheel for a 9'' grinder with steel bristles. i put it onto the big grinder and it took the underseal off the whole car in not time atal i now have the whole underside free of stonechip/underseal and in a hefty time of 5 hours. ive never worked as hard in my life and by fuck my arms are sore lol. next im going to prepare all parts for welding, theres a few very small holes which need a spot of weld, and as per usual the seat mounts need work and im replacing the back of both sills, the 2 arches are near perfect. after that the only other work needed is around the 2 headlight panels. then it will be time for some white
now some pics, quality not perfect but it gives an idea.

your right im flat out lad, my deadline is donegal rally my favourite weekend of the year lol
yea just some bits in the corners and that now to remove, i dont think i need to take the whole thing to bare metal as any rotten bits can be seen once the underseal is gone, once shes patched im going to get her sanded up and etch primed, then stonechip and white me and the bodywork dude at work have discussed this alot now and this is what we have settled on lol

easy to tune the bosch, the lad with 171bhp and 250ftlbs has a merc e300 garrett turbo, lots of pump work, front mount and some other wee bits. He used to have a 2.1 miami dturbo.
Easy to get 150-160 though if you weld a saab 9000 t25 to a standard manifold and run 28 psi with a hard tune

bit of an update here
been getting on really well with the sierra now, i now have the 2 wings off and battery tray drilled out, fuck its a boring job lol. also i was off on thursday so i decided to tidy up the engine, i wire wheeled all components(alt, pas pump, pipes, brackets, etc) and painted some silver and other bits that looked really shiny i gave a few coats of laquer pics of these will follow when i take pics lol. also i have the bootfloor almost ready for painting except removing the towbar bracket. and lastly i got myself something i really needed and now ill soon be ready to paint , but ill tell you what that is once i get pics
so heres just a few pics of the wings off.

just to where i have it now lad, its as far as i want to take it and as far as i need to reali. the soundproofing is still in im not sure if ill take it out or not, likely not.
all the wiring has been taken back inside the car, very easily done, and should be easy enough to put back out as it will all fall sort of into place.
im not doing a full nut and bolt reastoration here, im simply want it to look the way i want: absolutely no rust or rot and gleaming white with everything looking fresh

im thinking about zinc plating my bolts, are you stripping down yours underneath? Hydraulic handbrakes are good if your going to drift it, otherwise it would be a we bit pointless, i waz gona put 1 in mine but i dont think theres much point

big update now, havent updated this in a while
so now i have got all my welding almost done except a few spots around the front panel, and i have just fitted a like new front panel i got alot of parts sandblasted last saturday and these turned out really well (axle beam, complete trailing arm, driveshaft, gearbox mount, engine mounts, and the front panel) got some of these etch primed until i ran out of etch primer lol
also i have pics of the engine components that i painted, look pretty good
i also took apart my diff and tightened it all by myself :P a real learning curve there and really glad i did it myself rather than send it away (about Ł50 saved there lol)
lastly i now hav the head off the engine and timing chain etc, i have the cams and tappets out and im in the process of trying to reset the hydraulic tappets, we'll see how that goes when she starts up
oh and one more thing, i got my boss (www.cbradleymotorsport.co.uk <take a look ) to order a pair of brand new genuine wings for it these should be here on thursday, then ill get those lined and fitted and it will be time for a bit of sanding and prepping
anyway heres a lot of pictures of my progress
got these from 2wdryan; really really pleased with these, like new
new front panel
tightened diff
the pugs are takking over badly lol
excuse some of the random pics in there lol, thats all for now

why dont you take the car and put it in your garage? lol that way you can work at your car every time you have spare time.
i think what helps me is that i have everything i need here, and if i dont have it my uncle has or my boss has it lol
jeez lad your putting the pressure on me here the only thing that will hold me back is the wiring, i have a growing fear of wiring cars lol, at least i have the old shell, and the pics of dismantling it on my phone, il just view the pics in reverse lol
