Painted drums look absolutely shit. Why would you want to show off the fact your car has shonky brakes? Paint them black!
The cherry bomb is also shit. Chavvy, pikey and crap. For the money you've wasted, you could have had a proper exhaust system that would have sounded better, fitted better and looked better.
You're ruining your car.
#246
as what massivewangers said, your ruining the car... incase you didnt see that then i've underlined it in bold:
your ruining the car
sell the car and buy another rover 25 and destroy that instead. That fiesta deserves a better owner, and i can bet you there more rust on that car underneath other than the arch.

As regular as clockwork, this thread is by far the funniest on passionford..so well done matey from Leeds.
It pains me to say this..but i actually look forward to your updates...
I cannot believe you painted the sills without even giving the car a good clean first..
My thoughts are with your Fiesta..and the slow torture it has to endure, give it another month, and it will be beyond saving...which is ironic judging by the title of this thread..

3.5 hours of work to get to this point just for 1 wheel. Used a kind of flap grindng wheel the wet n dry to get the marks out untill it was perfect.
Finished in the gloss red spray paint with no blemeshes. Spray the centre caps soon
Might not even use these wheels but had some spare paint do thought id see what they would look like. look a dam site better than before.

Got someone to take the fiesta for a spin round the block today with me in the passenger seat and it brought up only 2 simple problems:
n/s/f caliper sticking on. and
pulling to the left when braking so its probily the caliper thats causing it to do that.
Apart from them little niggles everything else worked brilliantly such as the new front bushes and the new clutch and of course the exhaust whick sounded great through the quiet norrow streets and the tempory exhaust mount at the back held where it is which was nice.
oh and bonded the windscreen in propper and 1of the rear window and no leaks so will finally will have a nice clean interior with no mould and smell.
xr2 kit should be here on friday this week so cant wait for that

test date can be tomorow up to 3 months... Ring up the dvla/dsa personally or look on the internet, i had to wait 1 day for mine due to a cancelation, but if that didnt happen i would of only had to wait 4 days

Why the fuck have you painted that wheel red? Bright red and maroon? Do you have any idea how awful those two colours will look against each other?
You say your cherry bomb sounds good, what are you comparing it to? The local barry with his 5" jap can on a Corsa?
Spend some time on youtube watching videos of proper cars, with proper exhausts, proper modifications. You'll soon realise.
I thought the Mondeo wheels were giving you a glimmer of hope, but then you just nose dive again

im still offering £200 for the car it needs taking out of your hands asap and you keep the cheery bomb, head unit, your red wheels, and your 6x9s.and to be honest you wasted 3.5 hours on that wheel would of gone for gun metal gray or sumert.

Okay, now that i have stopped laughing....onto a serious note..
Looking on the positives...
Good attempt on the resprayed alloy, but you should really dumb it down with the loud colours on such a small car.
Good luck with your driving test, its a start in the right direction...

hes 18, when i was 17 my insurance was £1900 on a dturbo, then swapped it over to a starlet gt turbo, 18 £1600 on a civic vti, Just got a quote for a saph 2wd for £1348 and i was 20 3 weeks ago, btw ford insurance is bad compared to eqivilant, Eg its cheaper for me now to insure a swift gti ( which ve had before) than a 1.3 mk5 fiesta
