Talking MK2 Fiesta cheapo resto done propper this time!!!!

Hello yes its me who made a shambles of my last mk2 fiesta project, most of u will remember my old blue and white mk2 made from filler.
There will be no filler on this project i swear even though im on a budget again. Havnt got the car yet, its getting delivered in the morning so pics will be uploaded 2morrow, cant wait as it looks a minter. Bought on ebay for £460 without even looking at it first but cant be that bad as its got 6 months tax and mot still left on it.
Keep looking at my thread as ill be updating it frequently with the work that gets carried out.
All comments will be appriciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Take a look at my old thread from a few months back, below
https://passionford.com/forum/restor...apo-resto.html

The pic below is from the ebay ad

are you going to keep this one? your cars dont seem to last very long and now youve got yourself a decent looking fiesta would be good to see you do it properly and finish with a nice car that you could get about in. what are your plans for it?

simple mods will make this car look quite good!
proper lowering kit (not chopped springs)
polished supersport wheels
nice backbox

job done until you fancy a bit more power!

Yes defo gonna keep this 1 as its soooooo cheap on insurance "well £1700" but compared to a mk4 fiesta 1.3 at £3200 for the year so really got took keep this mk2 if i ever wanna get insured.
When the car arrived my face dropped as it doesnt look as good as the first pictured i uploaded but it'll be alright i think.

Probily dont have the knowlege to put a zetec in it, love to but alot of modifying engine mounts and so on mostof all the wirering loom and ecu would do my head in.
Do u know how much someone would charge to do a full 1.6 or 1.8 zetec engine conversion for ?

not worth a 1.6/1.8 zetec might as well get a 1.6 cvh from a xr2 and twin 40 it or bike carbs but thats ages away ha ha get it looking cool first till you can afford to mess about with engine changes

Well this is it Mk2 Fiesta 957cc pop, Only done 41,000 genuine miles with loads of old MOT's and a few other bits

The guy i bought it off drove it from Cheshire to my house in Leeds which is over 45 mile and it got ere no problem but i cant believe he drove it as the front tie bar bushes av gone completely as its nocking like mad as i had to drive it 300 yrads as thats how far he parked it away from my house for some reason. Cluch cable aswell

Both sides of the car are grey primer at the bottom where a bit of welding work as beeen done to it, Some parts are a bit rough, see pics below

O/S headlight cracked

No rear wiper on this 1

The battery tray IS NOT rusty

engine runs sweet

The steering wheel is horrible to use as its so thin. Alls good apart from no stereo so gonna av to wire it 1 up. Why dont the front seats av head rests? a dunno

Need to fint some standard xr2 arches but domy best with this for now. Not gonna filler this!!!

Shitty patched welding job, looks like the grinders coming out soon

I know what every1 is gonna say about these wheels but am keeping them and they will be fittet when i av some time, look awesome 195-45-15 Hankook tyres with 7mm tread. Only slight kurbing on 1 wheel apart from that perfect, cant go wrong for £62.50 off my m8 ebay . The wheels are going to be the only non standard thing on this car, for a while anyways.

Right before you get your grinder out have a long hard think

Do you know what your doing with bodywork?
If no ask for some help or take it to somebody that does because your last mk2 is anything to go by your fucked.

May sound harsh but just ask for help.

Also get rid of fox alloys for some 13inch pepper pots.

And get on www.xrtwo.com
