Time for an update been fitting parts rather than collecting them
Went to fit the straight cut box and ran into a problem as it had a saf output flange rather than the thinner escos one , this ment finding a saff donut and prop section or switch the back end of the box over from my original.
Saff

Escos

Transfer case switch

New box painted and fitted

Grease nipples fitted to front prop

The next pics will give a clue as to next weeks job and this weeks new purchase

Hope to get my standard exhaust cam fitted and timed up tommorow or fri, and get a new chip and injectors ordered from MSD.

I have just fitted the standard exhaust cam and timed it up, i found the BD14 inlet to be a tooth out and also a little out on the vernier. This was giving .23mm lift at TDC where it should be .66mm, Im not sure on the effect this would of had on the engine if any but may of been part of the reason for the lag.

Chip and injectors have tuerned up from MSD so those are fitted , just need to fit the cooler and rad back in.
The temp gauge has always sat a little high, so Im going to fit a new sensor while the water is dumped and may fit the rad off of my old car as i know that never had any temp problems.

Im tempted to get the air injector bodies anodised black
Also trying to get hold of Ryan to get my loom back
as that will be getting fitted while the car is getting set up hopefully

Here are the last parts to be fitted next week then hopefully the car will be on the road. I have also bought a small turbo inlet of Dave, that will be getting done crakle black and fitted at the same time as the loom by Sitech Racing.

Mark the props were like that when i got the car , not sure if Wenny had them done or if they are original.
Im sure the grease nipples were M6
Im hoping that it should be a nice drivable spec , it went ok before but was laggy on the T34 im hoping the changes i have made will help that. With it running standard diffs I will more than likely get the boost capped depending on how harsh it comes in.

Beefy buy the time you buy the water and oil kit along with hoses your looking at Ł1500
The engine in this car is similar spec to my original engine in the white car so will be interesting to see how a GT30 compares to the other turbos i have ran.
T34.63
T34.55
CR T38
Roller T4

It is low at 7.2:1 but the engine was already built before i got the car. That wont be getting changed unless something goes wrong with the engine ideally i would have it around 7.8:1, but to be honest my old big spec engine was in the 6's and didnt notice any real change to drivability.

That engine actualy drove nice even with the low comp and bigvalves, what spac is it going to run in the fiesta? If its not going on a big turbo i would maybe say change the exhaust cam as it was lumpy even with the cam timing having been adjusted.
Sticky - I am looking forward to see how it goes with the changes I have made was hoping to get it started by Tues night , but looks like im going to buy a new go kart as soon as i get off the rig so the car will have to wait

When I talked to CR originaly to buy the turbo I asked for a direct bolt on style exhaust housing , and im sure they said the one they were going to use was a cosworth style but .72
