I will check for markings tomorrow when i get home , i havent actualy seen the turbo yet bar the pics i have posted.
Im sure it was the ex housing they were talking about as we had a bit off messing around as it was originally a 3 bolt style , then they called to say they couldnt get one so was going to be V band, luckily they managed to get a 3 bolt style and called before i had cut the downpipe.

Well after spending most of the mornig getting the GT30 to fit buy swinging the core and comp housing, i was ready to start it and NOTHING the car cranks over and has fuel to the rail but no pulse from the injectors. I have tried my old chip in and the car fires straight away so looks like a problem with the new msd chip. To make things worse when I removed the new chip one of the encription board legs snapped off
Anyway on the plus side it i have had it started long enough to bleed the coolant and test the new box through the gears in the air.

I also need to order an new turbo to cooler pipe from Roose as the outlet from the turbo is 2.5" rather than the 2" hose i have, I have made an adaptor out of a bit Porsche pipe i had but I dont fancy its chances of holding 2 bar

I wouldn't be nailing it without getting it checked out anyway, don't care who's chip it is, too many people rely on off the shelf chips, fit them and think they can give the car death. Love your car and the progress, a couple more days won't make a difference, worth the wait

Yip I wont be opening it up untill it has been checked over will keep it under 4K, Im hoping Si from Sitech might manage to bring his wideband to Knockhill at the weekend to give it a quick check. It will be going into Sitech as soon as they have moved for a full set up and to get the new loom and inlet fitted
Wow stunning car, with all the right bits. Will be keeping my eye on this. I also cant believe the turbo heatshield still fits. Looks the nuts

No harm done mate, I have packaged up a new one and sent it out to you for next day delivery. I will swallow the cost of the broken board your sending back since you such a good customer. Just fire it back when your ready mate.

Got the car back on the deck now and have done a few miles but keeping the revs under 4K untill I get the car checked over with wideband gear.
What I have noticed is the GT30 spools quicker than my old T34.
Im happy that the standard heatshield still fits and keeps the look under the bonnet how I wanted it , also got some heat proof material for the water hoses as they run close to the ex housing.

Yip I think the mix of standard exhaust cam and dialling in the BD14 inlet has made a big change. I had the car along at RJM today on the CO machine and on the way home saw over 1bar in 4th by 3K rpm, but im keeping the revs under 4K untill it has been checked over.

Yip stuck some fuel in and run a hose over it earlier, not going daft with the cleaning as think its going to piss down.
What about you, you sorted ? What time you heading to knockhill, dont think there is anyone else going from my way so will just get use up there.

Nope its a 3071
Keep in mind its not just the turbo i have change i have also refitted a standard exhaust cam and adjusted the BD14 inlet.
I have checked the log from when MSD mapped the car on the old spec and it was making .9 bar at 3150rpm today i would say it was doing around 16psi by 3000rpm.
