Cheers for the comments
Well some deliveries later and blood splattered over my cut nuckles I have my Pro Alloy cold pipe on along with red Roose hoses instead of the black ones supplied.
Also fitted the Dreamscience RS ECU mount and tidied the wiring to suit.
Tomorrow need to fit the Roose turbo to intake hose and move a coolant pipe am not happy with.
Standard horrible plastic pipe;
New pipe & hoses;
New pipe on;
Quick engine bay shot;

Well todays update;
I found the ST to be down on boost and decided to check the hoses and fit my new Roose turbo to intake hose along the way.
So started this morning at 11am and removed the sypomser as found a damaged pipe there yesterday. Long story short I hacked the pipe out and blanked off the symposer, tried the car and found didnt drive right in my eyes.
So was booked in at 3pm for a new pair of rear Yoko Parada Spec 2's as had no AD08's in stock
Whilst their I whipped off my blocked pipe and got a nice red Samco hose and Forge blanking plug - retried and drove slightly better but missed the interior noise so the Symposer had to go back on in my opinion.
Anyway got lucky and the Samco hose I had left was the right shape and just needed a chop down in order to fit 8)
I also dumped the massive air filter and dropped back to a slightly smaller one
So cue my jobs have just finished;
The removed symposer;
Pipe coming off is the damaged section
Start of work tonight;
Horrible standard Ford intake to turbo hose;
The new hose;
My tiny turbo inlet;

2011/DSCF5893.jpg[/img]
Car in process;
All finished and a very quick clean;
My home made Samco Symposer pipe;
After a quick roadtest the car is better but think a new Turbo Boost Solenoid would be alot better on and see how it goes

Reason for droppping the large filter was I thought it could have been too large and was causing the pipework of the induction system to rub on the strut brace which I wasnt happy with. Plus the new filter type has already been proven on the ST when mine was last on the rollers so know its big enough.
Some pics from today;
Beefy - a spin wont be a problem once I get the sodding clutch sorted shouldnt be too long

Well my car hasnt been running correctly. I have had a new Boost solenoid fitted and still the same.
Thinking its either MAP sensor or the damn intake hose collapsing after only 300 miles
Anyway, today was down in Northampton to get my lovely Jamsport rear strut brace fitted;

Mentioned above about the car not making the power due to the boost levels, well today and being home meant I could start investigations;
Well car wasnt driving right and to prove it I put it on the DynoDaze rollers and got 268bhp and 315Ib/ft.
So got back up north last night and today I stripped down car - intercooler, pro alloy cold pipe, all boost hoses back to turbo removed. Checked everything over and found no problems with any components.
Took oppurtunity to replace the lower black hose on the pro alloy pipe with a nice Roose motorsport red one.
Also replaced every jubilee clip with a new one
Cleaned the MAP sensor then refitted everything - slight improvement in boost but no 100%.
Removed the Roose motorsport Turbo to Intake hose incase this was collapsing but made no difference when road tested with original hose.
Mid phone call to Dreamscience Jared suggested to check the rear axle load limit switch - basically this has a connection to the boost level - with my car being lighter the rear sits higher thus reducing the boost slightly. Moved bracket so now makes switch in same position as before the car raised up
Road tested and now get better boost levels but not 100%
Roll on tomorrow......

Never heard that before about the rear load switch. Is it the same one that controls the auto levelling for the headlights?
When I lowered mine I think I bent something at the back as the headlights were pointing right at the floor, I manually rebent the bottom bracket for this sensor to bring the headlights back up which worked fine. I didn't notice any difference in boost levels though!

Sunday 27th;
268bhp & 315Ib/ft
Well after having the intercooler on and off numerous times and testing all my pipework and combinations of Ford and aftermarket parts.
Anyway nothing helped in all honesty :shock:
So I refitted all the aftermarket goodies then fitted the massive air filter back on and the result was;
Need to scan the actual result sheet on but will do that later. Run was done in 4th gear today so all is well.
This equates to nearly 375Ib/ft and 295bhp (near 270bhp at wheels - this is only 6bhp down on the old 334bhp reading at the flywheel - 276bhp at wheels).
Only thing holding back the power is the fuel - I ran on 95 when depressed with the car (didnt see point in wasting money on 97/99 when had no need for it)
So, RS injectors should be sourced within the next week and should have some 102 fuel in it then will be ready again 8)

Looking good mate, that's some healthy torque!
There's a sensor on the front and the rear, so it calculates the difference in height between the two and adjusts headlights to suit. I had both of them off when I was trying to work out what was wrong with the lights!

Well progress off last 2 days;
I ordered a Whiteline 24mm adjustable rear anti roll bar and it turned up within 14 hours of ordering - many thanks to Pumabuild for the excellent service.
I planned on just fitting this but when got car on axle stands and started the stripdown I found the drop links were in poor condition so got some new drop links sorted within 60 minutes 8)
Anyway I dropped off the bush mounts for the ARB then found the drop links could be loosened but not removed due to the condition. No acetyline left in garage so popped around mates garage and burnt them off :shock:
Anyway new droplinks and ARB on;
Then decided I wanted to lower the rear around 10-15mm more but when I started I found the spring compressors I had available were too large so need a mini set in order to get the springs down and adjuster off.
Current heights;
Front passenger
Front driver
Rear passenger
Rear driver

Well today I decided to do a full clean and wax of the engine bay - this meant everything off and any imperfections sorted as well.
Start with some before shots;
[IMG]
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...1/DSCF6115.jpg[/IMG]
All clean;
Also found the windscreen wiper arms starting to look a little tatty so repainted them;
The also decided I didnt like the horrible bare metal left hand engine mount, so removed it cleaned it and painted it;
Final shots all clean now;
Note on the scuttle panel there used to be a mount that is never utilised on the ST - this has been smoothed off and repainted

Well I went to the Passionford local meet today and car seemed to go down well.
After the meet I was bored and once I cut a classic Mini into 3 pieces I decided to paint the front lip under the grill black.
This was getting done anyway when car goes in for front end respray but decided to
see what it would look like if I did it
Plate on;
Looks superb in my opinion - looks even better with the full mesh grill in that I use at shows 8)
6th May will see the addition of Quaife diff and Focus RS clutch conversion

PassionFord Post Whore!!
You on the standard clutch running 375ib of torque? What year is your ST?
Race + map on mine spun the clutch and had the RS clutch kit put in a couple of weeks after. Not got the diff in though but the clutch is sound. Slightly stiffer but very minimal.
Front lip looks ace!

Cheers for the comments - been lucky with the clutch as its a 2007 plate car which is notorious for clutch slip but it survived until around september and has started slipping more and more

You running DSCi Platform?
I put on Performance + and it slipped with that, but the clutch slip felt like the traction control kicking in. Bitof a judder at times. Garage shown me the old clutch and it looked like new after 45k.
Did ask Dreamscience and first thing he asked was it an 07 plate. Said alot had clutch slip but 06 plates had less slip/handled the torque.
Still got my old plates and fly wheel. Should put them on Ebay.

The earlier cars upto 2007 had a different clutch which had a slightly heavier pedal feel but customers didnt like it so it was changed but the problem then came to light it slipped easier.
The after 2007 it was changed again to something with better pedal weight and better torque handling
Was your flywheel knackered? Most people I spoke to say the clutch looked fine and flywheel was fooked
I just use one shot tunes - Mod X in my case

Fly wheel was fine which I was surprised with with the juddering with the slip but the garage I used changed it all as that is what i told them to do.
The one that was taken out is all Volvo stamped. Guess this is normal as they share the same parts?
The main selling point for me with the DSCi Platform was being able to unlock features. Still bloody waiting for Dreamscience to actually sort this. But I get to turn out the engine management light due to the de-cat which is a plus.

What you want is the cheater boss which only costs £35 and stops the MIL light coming on
I know I want the top map at all times so went with Mod C one shot then Mod X came out so upgraded to that - awesome map

That can stay on when I put the cat on for MOT time?
Need a turbo down pipe, cooler and (maybe) a CAIS before MOD X. Would a performance panel filter flow enough for the MOD X with the cooler and down pipe?
Sorry for the questions.

I wouldnt attempt mod X without a full induction setup, Dreamscience have the best proven induction setup which is the only one I would use
I ran with a standard downpipe when first on Mod X and it was spot on
As for MOT - yeah no prob
