When I lowered mine I think I bent something at the back as the headlights were pointing right at the floor, I manually rebent the bottom bracket for this sensor to bring the headlights back up which worked fine. I didn't notice any difference in boost levels though!
Guessing here, but think its normally the one on rear beam that controls the brake force maybe, on older cars sure they were found on the rear beam but might be wrong where as the autoleveler for the headlights is on the front wishbone
