got a couple of jobs out of the way today,got the new hose on the washer jets and got the scuttle panel fitted.

got the new headlights and grill fitted up,hopefully for the last time,these fit so much better now the old 500 cooler has been replaced with a top feed cooler.


had this nut made by mk motorsport as I wasn't keen on the plastic one.


looking into the problem im having with the power steering looks like the rack has to be removed and sent away for inspection ill update once its been looked at,hopefully they find something wrong because I haven't a clue whats going on with it.
on another note a couple of weeks back while I was at NMS with mike we decided to drive another 3 hours south to Essex to have my spare block long studded and have the machining done for oil jets,looking at having it built up for a spare,but this wont happen quickly I just don't have the funds atm for new crank,rods and pistons.

Coming together nicely - have you had yours running the change gear or just ticking over as i'm still getting a slight noise from the clutch on mine in reverse wondered if you suffered the same at all

 

We've all been there mate,sometimes you've just got to take a break from it,at least your at the stage of putting it back together now

What clutch you running? My ap 6 paddle used to make a funny humming noise in reverse

very small update,couple of small jobs done.
l8 bracket fitted and ecu installed.


new wiper blades and gave the arms a lick of paint.

managed to source a spare wheel that fits over the AP'S

oh and after a 14 months wait the filter for my catch tank turns up from SPEC-R

 

car is immense jeff right down to every last detail

james tbh mate I don't know what an alternative could be pete owns the tooling rights to that filter
I did try to get one direct from k and n and they told me I can only get them through pete.it must have cost me more in texts and phone calls chasing this up than it did for the whole catch tank
he told me on two occasions that these where special order from America when it turned up it had a sticker on it saying made in England lol.
I hate being lied to.

Haha,I've never met Pete so can't comment on the size of his head lol..
It won't be out this year mate,I'm having electrical issues atm which has got me baffled,don't have much left to do tbh,wire in lambda sensor install dash when it comes back,gauges, lower boot spoiler and set the front coilovers I'll get it mot's and tracking done early next year.

 

He must be a genuine bellend, when you pay for a service and parts to be made and get your time for said parts to be complete then have to wait over 12 months and phone call, bullshit, phone call, more bullshit over and over again its a pure pisstake.
This maybe something southerns are used to but up here when you say you'll do something and you don't it doesn't go down well, i've heard a few folk say if he doesn't sort the parts out they are going to be basically hammer him as he's a piss taker.
