well now i can carry on cause ive got the storage space to carry on with my project car,,cheers for your support and i cant wait to start putting it back together, got another 2 projects after this one, stored at mates yards, but for the time being,im concentrating on this weapon
Ok a small update today, get the garage back sundayso we can now carry on with the build up,my safety devices front section of the 6 point cage came today after a 6 week waiting list so now get the old girl back upto speed with floor plates for the roll cage
When you got rid of the battery tray did you drill the old one off and keep the origional panel just withou the tray or did you get hold of a repair panel with no tray?
Reason I ask is I'm smoothing my bay like yours and relocating the fuse box and battery to the boot but my battery panel is solid underneith bar a small scab so dont want to cut the whole panel off.

my battery tray was absolute mint also we was a bit taking it out at first due to the shell been so clean, was quite a few years back now like, but im sure we hacked it out and kept everything underneath, then began to smooth the original panel,so yes i reckon you could drill it out,and you should not have to weld another repair panel inhope this helps bruv
well tommorow the shell was prov sold, but having found out that i could not remove my coilovers, due to someone throwing my standard suspension components away so had nothing to drop the car on to roll around for the buyer,i am genuinely sorry,he probably thought i had cold feet in selling because of the amount of money and time been spent to make it how it is, yes i would of been gutted if i had of sold, but honestly havent the time or space,i would of probably bought lee ivatts rs1600i but looks like that has fallen throughdue to the mentioned, maybe its a sign i should make time and finish it off as im nearly there so hopefully who ever is reading and goes to the shows will see this at rs central day next year
got a good deal from sean richardsons zvh turbo spoon style custom inlet, which has scope for the nitrous jets at a later date, needs a clean then will send it off to the chrome polishers, also gave me a spare cossie throttle boddy and modified efi fuel rail for a aftermarket fuel pressure reg which im well chuffed about
was gonna go national day, think il give it a miss this year and do some work on the g plate, some time next week im ordering polly carbon windows with sliders
well we been busy building this, nothing ground breaking just wanting about 250hp from this cvh, low comp fully lightened and balanced by nms,and then built up by my bro
right folks as it was a nice day me an my bruv made some floor plates for the back part of the cage, and trial fitted the front half too was a fooker to fit but wasnt too bad quite simple really,
right now back out to be painted black,as all lined up and holes drilled,so prep and paint the floor fit the dash and fit the cage back in,then we will be on with the wiring loom, engine and box
getting there love the colour bud. Inlet will look smart when smartened up
cheers mate, yeah shes coming on now,il put updates of inlet later on with the engine,oh and this arrived my new front mount not sure its gonna fit due to how my rad is but will soon find out on friday,
cheers for the commentsmakes it all worth while, well yesterday i tried the front mount for size and with the large alley rad its not fitting,so maybe have to come up with something else,im determined to get this thing sorted before christmasseriously things are looking good at the mo despite the cooler not fitting with the huge rad i will put bigger updates on latter with pics once ive sorted them out
well hopefully tomz ive got some nice little parcels coming and i cant wait,i will reveal when they arrive. quite abit has been done but i will put pics of what latter
cheers for reading
sorry for the wait here we go,my ultra rare turbo technics arb,i feel as though i have hit the ultimate suspension setup with out getting silly, there are a few more bits id like to show but i will leave them for later on,id like to hear your replys, thanks for following my thead
this is my setup so far
tt arb,mef front arms, gaz coilovers, fully polly bushed, mef rear six link kit, safety devices 6 point rollcage, rear brace and seam welded for extra strength, maybe when its on the road and fully setup il treat it to accentric top mounts front and rear
gonna be a right beast this, looks mint mate Love the rs7's and spec so far! inlet looks don
cheers bud, spec's not bad for now,i have a fully worked 16v engine to go in with getrag gearbox, but for now will be the 250ish cvh and 5 speed,as i just wanna drive the bloody thing
well its not good times as the weather is just crap, the car is sat outside under a cover, this is what i wasnt looking forward to,and because of this it has and will set me back big time, just makes me think will i ever finish it

cheers mate that would of been great,as the shell is very strong and mint been stored in the garage for the past 5 years and would be a shame to let it go to ruin, you are very lucky to have a yard that big, cant wait to see yours finished properly this time,it will be awesome
Tell me about it. £10 a week doesn't seem too bad when you look at the weather! If you can get it here and wanna leave it 6 months or whatever theres a space waiting.
I'm hoping to have the engine bay smoothing finished tomorrow. As soon as the bays in paint the ball really gets rolling.
