When you got rid of the battery tray did you drill the old one off and keep the origional panel just withou the tray or did you get hold of a repair panel with no tray?
Reason I ask is I'm smoothing my bay like yours and relocating the fuse box and battery to the boot but my battery panel is solid underneith bar a small scab so dont want to cut the whole panel off.

well tommorow the shell was prov sold, but having found out that i could not remove my coilovers, due to someone throwing my standard suspension components away
so had nothing to drop the car on to roll around for the buyer,i am genuinely sorry,he probably thought i had cold feet in selling
because of the amount of money and time been spent to make it how it is, yes i would of been gutted if i had of sold, but honestly havent the time or space,i would of probably bought lee ivatts rs1600i but looks like that has fallen throughdue to the mentioned, maybe its a sign i should make time and finish it off as im nearly there
so hopefully who ever is reading and goes to the shows will see this at rs central day next year

cheers mate that would of been great,as the shell is very strong and mint been stored in the garage for the past 5 years and would be a shame to let it go to ruin, you are very lucky to have a yard that big, cant wait to see yours finished properly this time,it will be awesome
Tell me about it. Ł10 a week doesn't seem too bad when you look at the weather! If you can get it here and wanna leave it 6 months or whatever theres a space waiting.
I'm hoping to have the engine bay smoothing finished tomorrow.
As soon as the bays in paint the ball really gets rolling.
