Martin don’t you think this has run its course now, I mean actually how many pages are dedicated to the car showing its progress etc to which people want to log on and look at, if chip and others want to continue on throwing testosterone about let them and start a new thread, as im keen to look at a thread on the car not people all trying to have the last word, your issues have been aired along with everyone else’s, time to move on and show us all some progress and pics.

are you considering poly bushing the rear end martin?
as for mounts for the 3 door, better to make up a bit of box section to fit up as the captive nut needs to be inside the box section and you can simply weld this to the bottom of the car

Its just that people find it far to easy to throw insults etc on this forum when they dont agree with other peoples opinion or what ever it may be and i totally understand why, because half the people iant got a clue what they look like so at the shows you iant got a clue who's who and probably walk srtaight passed the guy who you have been having a key board fight with!!!! so if peole carry on throwing shit to one another then get your faces up and sort it out if you bump into one another i.e at any shows.

martin, as the "owner" of the thread you can lock it
i'm not sure if you can unlock it again afterwards to post new stuff up as and when it happens, but i'm sure someone wul db able to sort thigns out for you in order to do this
or perhaps pm a mod with the new update you wish to put up and that way it's purely your thread

Gutted for you it must be heart wrenching to have to redo this I also feel for Jacko too!
I have an opinion on it but im not saying nothing, far too much bitching gone off by third parties as it is! Hope you get it all sorted soon pal and enjoy the rest of the build and useage!
One thing i will say is, Does Chip keep his sneck out of ANYTHING?

worded that wrong, arch roller was dead on, just the shonky old rusty arches
started rolling and it was tucking under nicely, but got to a rusty patch and the paint just started cracking so thought it would be best not to go for it as i dont wanna paint my arches

Did u try heating it up slowly?
When i did mine i had the same problem with the paint starting 2 crack!
I just heated it up slowly with a hot-air gun and dint get the problem again!

To be fair Rod didn't have to have his repainted 50 times
The guy from the paintshop took some photos...
What do you think he used to remove the paint?
No chemicals or sand paper, he used a stanley blade and peeled it!!!
Sheets of peeled paint......
