Wow!!
Started this thread 8 days ago & have not yet started on engine, tomorrow going to Mark to discuss his proposed change of Spec & make a final decision on what we are going to build (where have I heard that before). The dead-line is still the 5th December, so any new bits will have to be ordered tomorrow. Lets hope I can report tomorrow that the Final, Final, Final Spec has been agreed, but dont bank on it..

As expected no decisions made today - Dont want to delay 5th December so Mark is going to investigate if the parts required can be obtained & built up in that time scale.
Rod
ps. Dont expect much else to happen in the next week.

Tell him to stop moving the goal posts . Surely there are issues with changing the spec at this late stage in that more development has to be carried out (and the possibility of more "eggs" being broken?

The developments been done already Mike, its just a first on a Cossie, my google search saw no results on a Cosworth .
Mark has just e-mailed me the results that have been obtained, get the feeling the figures aint going to be believed big time, best start Harvey on the Valium now.
Have agreed to finance this & its now down to how quick we can get the bits here.
Theirs always the chance of more problems Mike, but it seems to worry everyone else more than it does me, they should worry less its me thats paying. .

The bullshit stops when the flag drops, and when no-one other than Martin has even done 200mph in a Cossie, so I don't think you need to worry what ANYONE says .
215mph without gas by the sounds of it .

The maths say thats possible, but my brain says no, I want to hold the outright record before I quit & im starting the deep breathing exercises now. I realise im not going to get within 3/4mph of what a younger driver (Like Mark) could do but its got to be done to shut up the critics that think by PB of 201.4 is total crap, although thats quicker than Martin has done at present , proud of that.

Rod/Mark, I have nothing but respect for what you have already achieved, and are (fingers crossed) about to achieve, but i cant believe nobody has though of this yet.....

Getting frustrated, have money to spend & found a company that have the bits but its near impossible to trade.
Found a company in the States that have the part Mark wants, its not available here in the timescale we have.
Ring them up & agree price etc.
Problem one they dont take credit cards from abroad , they do paypal so I say OK lets do it. Problem 2 its too much money for paypal to deal with without verification which will take some time, OK I will go online & transfer the money to your account. Problem 3 you cant do that to the States online, have to go to the Branch. Needed to get it shipped by tomorrow to make our deadline & that cant happen however much money I throw at it. . Theirs a credit crunch I want to spend money & put simply I cant.
Will go to my branch tomorrow & wave money at them but im told it takes 4 working days so thats next Wednesday, they quote 3 days to get & 5 days to reach, thats 3rd December if all goes well, cutting it a bit fine .

doen't your bus pass allow you cheap plane tickets rod
but seriously, surely it would be easier to just get on a plane and fly it over if it's nothing more than a few kilos worth of hand luggage?
