I remember it well, A329M one Saturday morning, I struggled to keep up with you! Turns out I had a split vacuum hose.

Just fixing them as when we first bled them a brake pipe burst and with the new inlet all the pipes have been moved.

Car looks awesome Rod. Engine bay is spot-on and the cut-out front bumper makes it look like a beast Can't wait to see it in action.

Absolutely awesome Rod! I met you once at show, national day I think about 9 years ago, my mate told me at the time that you knew your stuff about cossies. How long have you had the car now?

If I were to buy a standard ish 2WD how much would I need to spend for your spec?

Is the rear beam/diff/transmission set up going to be at its limit with this new power?

Cheers,

Paul

Had the car 14years .
Mark costed my conversion out drive in/drive out would be 80k .

The gearbox/diff should be OK, the weak link is driveshafts, they are mega uprated but still have Cosworth hubs. The entry into the hubs is the weak point.

Im just a life long Petrolhead not a racer on the track, the thought scares me , never heard of trackdays back when i was young , My secret is to be completely single minded in my approach to everything i do in life & have near 50years of engineering/design behind me. Being around you youngsters does help keep me feeling younger & I appreciate the way im made to feel part of the gang, it makes me smile when i have JB as a good mate it could only happen in the modded car world .

Had a day on the car today with Deano also helping. Had to go backwards to go forwards so most of the bits in the engine bay have been removed so that everything can be checked & finally all put back together & the 4x4 power steering plumbed in. New brake pipes also fitted so i suppose its progress .
Day off tomorrow but on Thursday will fit loom correctly & do loads of little jobs while the inlet, breather, cooler & rad are out of the bay.

Cheers Rod

Great work Rod
Whats the difference with the 2wd and 4wd powersteering mate?

Will come have a chat and a nose at the car at Central day as my car has no chance of being done in time now so will not be running.

Keep up the good work and updates

Pump moves to other side of engine so that a later multi belt & not a v-belt can be used.

Had a good look at this car in the flesh on Sunday, again whilst watching the MLR rolling road session, I have to say what a car. The thought that has gone into this car is clearly evident and the fit and finish of the car is perfect I love it. I also had a chance to speak to Mark and I am bowled over by his knowledge what he doesn't know about tuning can probably be written on the back of a 1st class stamp it is clear that his reputation preceeds him for a very very good reason. Mark thanks for taking the time to show me Rod's car and for the demo of MAD power , I have just added a mental MAD tuned vehicle to my wish list!
So well done Rod, Mark and all who have been involved in this build I can't wait to see it up and running I am sure we will see a good result from her, goodness knows you have definately put the effort in to deserve it!

The car looks proper good now!!! Can't wait to see new results.

However....

How could it possibly cost 80k?? Do you mean all your conversions included???

I mean realistically starting with a Saph and needing what:

Turbo
Crank
Pistons
Rods
Headwork
Gaskets etc
Autronic Setup
Machining
Gearbox
Diff
Driveshafts
Brakes
Electrics
Cage

That can not possibly add up to 80k can it??? Kinda sounds similar to a 500bhp conversion but with transmission and cage added in.

Ive personally put in 800 hours on the car in detailed changes try that at £60 hour .
