The flat shift function is part of the latest upgrades to the car so untried may well be used when doing Topspeed but as yet untried.

the fact your car is in standard trim and setting the figures it has and will is even more impressive. any more updates on your car m8?

Im 63 & really not interested in changeing my car for one event, the distance alone up to York would stop me entering not interested in a 3 day jaunt to run my car these days, i leave it to the younger boys who can still get excited by an event like totb.

Must admit ive not asked about my car since Coombe as my priorities are elsewhere, not been told its ready yet & im content to just wait.
The only progress to report is that my Carbon Spoiler has arrived from X-Sport.
Anyone want a GT42, go to for sale section.

Still want to be at ND on the 27th September, lets hope its ready.

Been to Spec-r this morning to make a decision on what the car will look like, choice between Morrettes Lights, grill & various other parts in carbon or back to standard lights modified to clear the Intercooler etc . The latter is the prefered choice because they will have better aero-dynamics.

Decided on the standard lights & they will be modified tomorrow & will fit & look as standard , will probably remove all stickers as well to really get back to a standard look
.
Having saved myself Ł600 in carbon bits I was going to purchase , i now also have a set of Morrettes for sale .

Not yet decided on carbon rear spoiler it may look silly just on its own in carbon. decisions-decisions.

The car is now booked to be back at Marks for the 1st August, when it can be completed, I need to make a list of all the things to be done, lots im afraid, could take a few weeks .

The standard-ish look is all part of the appeal imo

I thought i needed the Morettes to clear the new intercooler, but its sitting very low so only a small mod to standard lights to make fit. I agree I didnt like the look either so glad they have now been sold.
Have also got the standard mirrors to go back on they have been boxed for 5 years.

Small update.
Progress is slow at the mo but ive a date on which the car will be back at Marks 08/08/09 . Mark rekons a weeks work but i think about 2 weeks so hope to have it running by 22/08/09. It will then be used to iron out any probs for a month or so & then to the R-R for figures. It should then be ready to rumble.

It started to rain so gardening was out decided to create a cover for the mods to my Lights to clear the intercooler.
Quick measure & then drew the template on Autocad, printed it on card , glued it to the metal & cut it out, guess what it fitted just about perfectly. Will create a mirror image one tomorrow. Can stick it on but may rivet & seal as it would be easier to remove if required, not decided hence leaving the lugs a bit of filing to neaten the edges should see me happy with it.

Well its not much progress but one of loads that need doing before it is finished.

Will be going to Spec-r tomorrow to view progress & take a few bits to fit.
The car will be returned to MAD next Saturday & Mark has quoted about 10 days to complete so should be home by 18th although the word 'about' does worry me .
Taking Lights, grille & new Airfilter to fit.
