What does the large out put at the top do Rod?

I assume bottom one returns to sump - Does the top have a filter on it for gas?

Don't need a breather for dry sump as far as I'm aware.

Depends who you ask lol, cam cover to oil tank then to breather filter or another tank then filter is the way I've found out you should do it.

The aim is to have the car ready to go to Spec-R for a custom intercooler/radiator/Turbo cooler by this friday. This looks like it may happen although their are other problems as yet unsolved. The new inlet hits the abs block & will have to be moved & as yet no thought has been put into a solution, that will happen when the car returns in about a month. The Power steering reservoir will also have to move along with my Nitrous solenoids these things will be sorted when the car is returned.
My modified bumper & Morrette lights will be fitted probably tomorrow.

Well its gone today, Dave is taking it as I type. Didnt solve all the probs but all the bits neccessary are on the car so its a 3 week or so wait now.
Didnt take any pics cos it was all rush rush today, will be going down to Petes maybe as soon as tomorrow to discuss things so if my addled brain remembers will take some pics . Bonnet, Bumper & Morrettes are on but not fully sorted or painted so looks abit naff to be honest, still lets get the intercooler etc sorted then i can perhaps get on the home straight.
August & Ford Fair are my new target lets hope i make it.

Bumper doesnt look as bad as I was expecting at all, shame it couldnt stay standard though.

If you sit the number plate over the intercooler in the gap when not doing top speed runs, I reckon it will hardly show that its changed.

Having the number plate in position could actually help with cooling.

Yes, the scoops will be painted in black & probably covered with mesh not sure yet even considering painting the front grille Black so all that centre section is satin Black.

You could put the plate just under where it sits usually, attach the plate to the bumper only on the top left and top right corners, so when the car is not moving you can read the plate, but when it is moving, the plate will just sits horizontally under the bumper and won't disturb the flow to the IC. Some old WRC Subaru Impreza used to do this.

Visited Spec-r this week to discuss work on my car.
They will make an intercooler, radiator & turbo cooler as well as a turbo hanger. Mark has selected the core for the intercooler & it will be as large as possible it can be over 100mm thick with the mods to the chassis rail but thick isnt always the best, correct is what we require & Mark is in discussion with the company selected. The down side is a 5 week delivery from placement of order, we can get other cores quicker but these are the best so im prepared to wait. The dump valve will then be built into the intercooler.
A bigger radiator will also be fitted & the turbo cooler will also be custom built to suit my application.

This will mean 8/9 weeks before I can carry on with the car so my target date of 5th August is already in doubt .

Maybe the really big companies & motor manufacturers that use Pro Alloy are misguided then!!!

Could be im afraid, Im talking one off capability not normal stuff or production runs . Seen their efforts to conform to a given Spec, not impressed in fact crap, looked incredible though. Mark can control whats happening at Petes & get the core he requires not what someone thinks he requires. Yes Mark does know what he wants .

Not any physical progress to the car but the Intercooler core has been decided on.
Its rather different to what i expected had an rs500 one before & i expected it to be as wide but taller & thicker, well its a bit like me not very tall but very thick well 95mm thick.
With rs500 Spec coolers bodywork/bumper restrict airflow, this new one will be designed to match my new cut-out bumper & will be ducted for maximum airflow. The two suggested are rated at 920 & 1000bhp with optimum airflow. This will allow space above it for the Turbo cooler & also an airduct to the air-filter. A Pace core is being used for the Radiator & without the turbo cooler on top can be as big as we require.
Not sure on delivery time but 5weeks was mentioned so wont be finished for some time.
Have been thinking about having the morette sourounds & grille painted Satin Black, I can no longer keep it looking standard so want it to be different. Maybe get the grille & Morettes done in carbon. could then tint the indicator lenses smoke , Blimey turning into a Chav.
Rod

Intercooler sounds like something you'd find on a high power skyline, they normally are relativly short and double thick.
Will the.......bumper cutout be smaller than the cooler core then taper out to match the core, not the best explanation, lol.
Or be bigger than the cooler core and taper in?

Or

c) No tapers for me thank you very much.
