Yes all the 200mph runs have been with that splitter in place, it is securely rivetted in place, have broken the side fixings , lost an indicator & bowed the bonnet edge, but not broken the Splitter .

Have decided to only run decals that I have agreed to run on the car so most have gone, looks much better IMO. Also may do the MAD logo as M.A.Developments to match the X-Sport decal slightly small as well to match, good idea or not.
a bit of a lull at the mo cos im returning the car to X-Sport for a bit of fettling on the cage to give me exactly what I want, it has nothing to do with the main components of the cage just a little mod that came to light when I tried to re-fit all the trim.

Id say put the MA Develpoments sticker where your opie oils one is and put the opie oils on the sill just in front of the rear wheel.

Yes & No.

I did appear in a promotional video made recently, which ive kept quiet about cos i hate doing things like that, however untill I have a running car & have something to offer its a link that means nothing.

On the road 205/40/17 Toyo 888 (they measure 213) & 235/40/18 (they measure 242) on the rear again with Toyo 888.

For Topspeed runs the rears go up to 19" with 225 wide tyres I have used Dunlop up to this point but if I accept advice from Toyo they will choose the tyres.

I agree on the pin stripe, perhaps have all the logos on the bottom of the doors under the door strips?

Looking good Rod. That cage is fantastic; wouldn't know it was there. What would happen if the rear spoiler was removed? Hmm.

Well !! after 2 weeks break got out there today & did a few odds & sods.
At last the car is ready to be returned to MAD for its new engine. It will have a refurb of the underside & requires work to brakes/abs & Clutch. Not sure how long that will take before its ready to roll & then off to RR.

The car was taken off the road on 11th Febuary 2006 so thats 3years & 1 day todate .

I can relate to that, my Escos has been off the road nearly 2 years now, people just don't appreciate how time (and money and effort!) consuming these sorts of projects are, all the "little" jobs probably take longer to do than the "Big" jobs ..

Looking forward to seeing the car Rod, keep going

The cage will have a plate bolting/welding down to the floor under the carpet i would imagine.

Rod will this cage make a noticable difference to the handling...should you wish to chuck it around some corners a bit?
Do you have the frame connectors already?

Despite what people say that my car is for Topspeed only the old girl has all the bits to be a great handling car including frame connectors etc.
