Couple of updates
Talking to XSport about aero aids for the car as they are invoved with that so will see an undertray & maybe other mods designed for the old girl.
The bits you will see the Lower dash with Accesory panels fitted.
The bits you wont see all bits will be pluggable for easy removal including the Nitrous controller which I may now mount where it can be seen.

Went with the missus to XSport to see progress & the cage is completed & the dash back in. The Screens were about to be refitted & sun visors sorted to complete the job. Well please even I like this cage & its proof that a proper cage can be fitted & still use all seats & fit all trim, well chuffed.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Looks good, not to intrusive at all.
How much weight has the cage added and do you think it significantly impact the performance of the car ? or are there other benefits, such as the stiffer shell, that outway the extra weight ????

With 838 horses weight aint a problem , with the last engine I ran with spare wheel & toolkit in the back to add weight to aid traction. Weight makes no difference on a Topspeed run, 50metres lost at the start is only .5sec at the bottom end so not an issue.

A cage similar to mine would cost IRO Ł1200 mine was slightly more complex because of wanting to have access to rear seats, XSport will build exactly what you want, very impressed with their set-up. Think they were surprised at the detail in my old girl as I suspect they thought like most it was a standard Sapphire with a big Turbo , the exact words that another Tuner was heard to say at a track day.
They will be starting on my aero aids after Christmas & maybe making the fitting of wider wheels made possible without cocking the bodywork too much.

Cage is complete & its now ready for a re-wire inside & engine back in..
I will enjoy the next part which is a rewire of all the extra bits that have been added over the last 12 years, sounds a nightmare but I have a complete circuit Diagram of the whole install so should be lengthy but not difficult to do. May post it to show just how much has been added.
Cheers Rod

7 Fuses, 11 Switches, 9 Relays & 8 indicator Lights WOW!! will need 800 horses to pull that lot along.

Only damage done on the fitment of the cage is a broken pin on the EGT gauge harness im hopeing a replacement part will be available from Stack.
