It looks like the car will go back to Mark over next weekend. Started fitting the Nitrous to the inlet & repositioned the distribution block to get all pipes the same length etc. Hopefully by the end of March it will be running, lets hope so.

Even the best laid plans can hit a snag, Deano had a rear ender on his way to work & has injured his neck so a couple of cars did not get cleared, will have to wait a couple of days I guess.

Decided to make a new bracket & tidy up the coil/cdi loom so bashed away for a few hours so glad I have a GCE in metalwork even if it was in the stone age , not much else happening, BUT soon I hope to report an engine in the hole.

Its not known when Deano will be back to work so even if I take the car over it wont get worked on, its frustrating but not a lot anyone can do.
Will take it over next Sat anyway.
Did a few jobs today fitted coils & buffed up my breather tanks etc. will continue on the polisher tomorrow & hope that next week brings better news. Also popped the Looms in.

Best say whats going on,
The engine is still not in the car & may be fitted next week.
After talks with Mark, changes will be made to the car to fit a very large intercooler & bigger radiator & bigger turbo cooler. The front cross member will be sawn off next week & a piece of metal welded in place this allows lots more room at the front, have cut the front loom & will move it forward. The bonnet will be taken tomorrow to have a few mods to make the air intake much larger & morrette lights (I picked them up today) fitted also to give more clearance. Picts when the dummy fit happens.
It will be going to have all the bits made within the next 2 weeks & will be gone for a month ish.

Looks like you are making good use of the time till the engine is in mate, in terms of finding places for all the external parts needed etc

Im sure it will be worth the wait

The front cross member was cut today & the new bar welded in its place, going over to help Mark fit engine on Friday & then im afraid i will have another period when little happens as I have far to much work on other peoples car to have much chance of getting mine to a position to take to have the intercooler made .
Got Deano, mark & Russ on my back to complete looms, i thought retirement would mean time to do what i wanted .

The engine is still not in the car but should be fitted on Monday (27th).
My revised bumper may be picked up tomorrow so its slowly , getting sorted. My problem is other peoples cars. Next week i have to finish off Yum, fault find another customers wiring, finish Deanos loom & supply Mark with 2off Vipec looms, so jack shite will get done on mine. It will be going to have custom intercooler made as soon as I can get the bits refitted but I guess thats a while off yet, then its a month waiting for its return .
Have missed Vmax & Straightliners Topspeed events that I had hoped to enter, lets hope it ready for the next Daddy thrash.

One feeds the other, so that each helps to seperate off the oil and gas, as on a normal group A setup, he was still getting issues with it spitting oil out.
