Fire suppression system now complete. Jets are hidden in the scuttle. One directed at the turbo side and one at my fuel side.
Can barely even notice its there.
Now spot the jets
Out of sight and hopefully never to be required.

Little update of the vent pod.
First design had the meters sunk in and all ran at a gradual slope bias the driver.
This looked okay but wasn't that great to look at from the drivers seat.
It looked like this.
So then I had the idea of pulling them further out and now individually bias to the driver.
So now we have prototype #2 and with indevidual hoods is shaping up like this.
I'll try this in the car before going any further but it should be much better to view.
If its going to be made bespoke, might as well get it right.

Dropped the front end underpinnings off for a jolly up last night.
Some parts have gone for powdercoat others I've freshened up with paint.
Lower arms off
Lower arms cleaned and rebuilt with new poly bushes.
Crash brace got a coat of satin black before it goes back on.
Also my vent pod I taking shape and more resembles the dash pod so they match

In fact youd be right about it hitting the drop links.
On full droop its very close to the hardware but ive swapped to button heads now to allow more clearance. At ride height theres heaps of room. Looks closer in the images than it actually is.

Ahhh right, camera angle and the fact it's yellow probably don't help lol. I need to get some uprated ARB's/droplinks for my 200sx to try and stiffen the body roll up a bit, but I'm way too poor for that atm.
Also, after looking through this thread (again!) where did you get your breather hose from? As It looks just like what I'm in need of.
Oh, and what intake air temp. sensor/kit are you using?

I've fitted it this morning as a final test piece. Just some panel gaps to clean and that's it. The pics don't really show how it looks but it changes the dash appearance completely. Now looks more like a cockpit haha.
There will be at least one cock in there I hear you say.

After fitting all the front end bits I went to get her geometry redone.*
I always go back to Damien @ Skidmarques in Hutton, Brentwood. Known him for a long time and he always does a proper job.*
Now got over 6 degrees of caster, toed out the rear a little too making the car rotate a little quicker. The handling feels even more agile and accurate. Very pleased.*

Hey guys,
Finally got the dash done, although this is a whole lot neater than having 3 in a hood and 3 up the a pillar im still quite tempted to ditch the lot in place of a single Toucan display.
Nothing will be as instant on the eye for reading data than indevidual meters but a single screen would be a whole lot neater.
I think im going to see how i get on like this and if need be take it all out and start again haha.
Any thoughts?
Sorry for the cak iphone pics, my computer wont dalk to Photobucket right now lol

Gonna replace the horrid cap heads with some smooth buttons, to try and make it look less garish but it can't really be seen much from the rear of the car.*
I was sick and tired of my bumper melting from the radiant heat of the exhaust tip so decided to finally do something proper about it.*
Tried the dei self adhesive reflection mat and that burns off too.*
So gone with a more permanent solution, I just hope this works.*
If the exhaust tip colour I anything to go by its seeing between 270/340 degrees C.*
Toasty!

I've been cleaning some bits on the car in the sun this morning.*Weather was too nice to miss.
The engine bay still looks smart and it's been back on the road almost a year now.*
Couple of extra snaps of the exhaust shroud too.*
