The monster food blender has arrived!
Fully V-banded Tial stainless housing. GT35R .82
Really cant believe how light this is compared to the stock housing turbos. Lets hope it works aswell as it looks. Taking it to Neil @ Thermal Logic on Sat for some pipeage.

Tim,
Basically the cars been off the road now for 2 years undergoing this motor build, mostly my slackness thats taken so long. I constantly get greif off my mates saying that it looks like a "Barn find" and that bits have started falling off it wheres shes been sat there etc.
All of this i deffend to the hill. Well i was on the phone to a mate the other day and at the very moment he was giving me some usual stick about "Havent things started falling of that sh1tbox yet?" I walked outside and glanced at the car.
Only to see my exhaust laying on the floor. The exhaust hangers had perished away and the system that was left hanging without downpipe had just fallen on the floor.
So with that in mind i decided she needed some poly hangers to prevent that happening again, lol.
So the parts bin is brimming now and things can start to go together soon

Did another job today that ive been putting off for ages. measured up for the oil cooler so i cant do any more with that till ive made up some brackets etc. So i started fitting my Aerocatches.
Didnt get these complete yet as i had to go out. But the bulk of the dicking around is done. These wont be 100% installed as i want to have the bonnet painted once im finished so will bond them in for a final finish once its been painted.
The under skin requires finishing but the top skin is done and the strike pins are in.
Naturally i took some pics along the way
Little tool i made to make this job a shtload easier.

Knocked up a little bracket for the cooler today. This will be welded to the underside of my offside inner wing, seam sealed and painted. Cut some rubber tabs to dampen it too.
Sorry for cak phone pics.

Tonight I managed to get 5 min to spend on the motor. So the cylinder heads have been fully assembled. Rewashed, final inspection, measure of all valves and guides and final cc check and then assembly of the valvetrain.
Everything was in spec and the final cc of the chambers came in at 54cc dead for all 4 chambers.
I'll post up some pics when i can, nice to get em done to be honest

Okay chaps, tiny update.
I wanted to fit my heads up tonight but i forgot the wrench i wanted to use so couldnt fit them up. I'll wait.
Gaskets arrived,
Aslo my injectors arrived, these are supposed to be very good indeed so lets hope they do the trick.
Decided to get the short block on the stand and to fit the oil pump anyway, so obviously i took pics hahaha :lol1::lol1:
So hopefully make some better progress on my next update.

Mike, they came from Adrenaline Rush Motorsports in the USA.
Cheers mate, the spec is hopefully enough for me to comfortably pass 500bhp and 500lbsft

Friday the buckets came back from the machine shop so i set about doing my clearances. 2 of them however will need to be remachined as theyre still a little tight. These will go back tomorrow and hopefully should come back by the weekend.
Heres my progress.
While i knew i couldnt do anything on the motor i decided to finish off my aerocatches.

Got sent a few teaser pics from Neil @ T-Logic of the rotated kit mid build.
Uppipe is Inconell and modified from my GT spec one. The rest of the kit is in stainless. Hopefully i'll collect this tomorrow night and post some better pics.
Im sure you'll agree it looks rather nice. Im getting quite excited now

Just stopped by the powdercoaters on the way home to collect some of my parts. There is alot more that were still too hot to take home, so i'll collect them when i can.
Im delighted with the finish on these, i couldnt help but unwrap some parts to take some photos to show you guys.
Here you can see the cam covers in complete matte finish, the gloss finish on the x-over and the machine silver on the alternator.
All parts are one of these 3 colours.
The quality of finish really is nice, im quite pleased

Okay guys, heres tonights work.
Itching to see the new look i fitted the x-over pipe and the water temp sender, im liking the gloss blck on the new block.
I got the final 2 buckets reground to spec so they got dropped in and the final clearances re checked. All good. So then the relevant cam caps were sealed up and all torqued to spec. Cam seals went in.
Valve clearances checked one last time before the covers went on.
Covers went on with all new gaskets and seals inside and out. These were all sealed up and torqued to spec.
Once ive colected the rest of the parts from the powdercoaters which include the water pipes we can progress some more.
Its all looking rather good now i must say.

Just back from Neil @ T-logic, like a kid in a sweet shop i couldnt wait to take some pics of this little setup.
Delighted isnt the word, the quality of his work is exceptional.
V-band inconel uppipe and 321 stainless downpipe. I think i'll let the pics do the talking.
This little lot is all hand made by Neil and puts the RCM item in the shaddows and at a better price!
