Married with kids lol.
I've enough trouble dressing myself in the mornings!
Yeah an old school gathering would be cool.
Glad to hear you well

Theyre not great to see out of but better than youd expect because my seat is so low that my eyeline is perfectly inline with them so much better than on a standard car.
Fitted some more bushes today inc new poly gearbox cradle bushes, poly outrigger bushes, new poly gearbox mount and a full solid delring gear linkage bush kit.
Took her for a quick test drive, and the gearchange is now so precise its like a bolt action rifle, love it!!!

Dunno, people have approached me about it over the years but nothing since its been built. All the mags these days other than EVO are pretty dire to be honest and I've never asked for a feature.
Maybe I should?

Not much to update guys, found a small weep on my steering rack so that's been pulled out for a rebuild.
Being a JDM Spec C quick rack, the rebuild kits are like hens teeth and are having to come via special order from Japan.
So just waiting on that and I can put her back together... And go for another bloody geometry setup lol.

Yes mate, I'm very serious. I'd put my car at around Ł25K. I know it's cost me about 3 times that to build to the level I have.
Just doesn't excite me the way an old ford does. If something serious comes up then I'd let the bomber go.
And then try and find the rest of the Ł95K hahaha

Here goes,
Firstly I really have no idea where to begin with talking about selling my car.
I've owned her for the last 8 years of which in that time I've poured my heart and soul into it.
I've reached a time in my life where I want a new direction. I'm a huge car enthusiast and would like a change, maybe even sit on the sideline for a bit?
I have absolutely no reason to sell so am in no rush whatsoever, I may even decide to keep her if nobody offers me a fair price.
No expense spared meticulous build, and built as a package to be a monster, S7 WRC inspired road car, she has her carpets and air conditioning.
She has been fully documented throughout her life and has many custom parts and details. I've put way over Ł60K into this car and literally thousands of man hours.
Her life is documented here:

Thanks for the kind comments mate. I've had her for such a long time now and I genuinely don't know which way to turn with it.
I may sell and go for a cosworth or MK 2 escort or keep her forever. But I'm a genuine petrol head and want to drive something more special than an Impreza.

Give it till spring? It never helps in a murky winter when you can barely use it. You'll 100% feel different about it in spring when the sun is shining, you've got your shades and string back driving gloves one and you're giving it a shake and bake through the burnham bends. You'll be smiling and giggling. It might even make your leathery, lifeless man sausage tingle just a little.

having worked in wrc , for a long time , and seeing many great roads cars that have been poorly finished on forums /shows . it really good to see someone taking the time and care to finish a immaculate build , all credit to you

Really shocked to see that you're seriously considering selling it Frayz... I'd tuck it up and get a useable 'fun' car to toe the arse off and have a laugh in. I'd be too heavily invested personally in the project to ever let something like the Impreza go to be honest.

Grant,
I drive a 182 Clio as my daily and I absolutely adore it. It does everything i want and handles like no Impreza ever could. It's go zero mods except for some track based rubber and its an absolute riot. Does 35mpg every day, 40+ on a run. It goes to the shops, gets my snowboard in as well as trips to the ring.
I've shown up some very expensive and more powerful metal in it and its cheap as chips to run.
My problem is, I'm a huge petrol head. I love cars and for me to try other things then the bomber has to go. It's a serious tool that's better in every way than any cossie or classic car. But it doesn't pull at my heart strings he way a cossie does.
If I see another Impreza P1, 22B whatever drive by. I couldn't care less. Yet if I see a cossie, a mk1-2 escort, old 911, integrale, e30 m3... I'm snapping my neck to get a closer look.
The Impreza is an amazing car, but I don't pine for it. Sure 570bhp is interesting, but it gets to a point where you can't deploy that kind of grunt on the road anyway.
So this is my dilemma, if I keep the Scoob, am I stuck with it forever?
And look at all the cars I'm missing out on because I can't afford both.
I genuinely love cars and I feel I'm missing out on something more exciting.
