loving the brakes and wheels
Wonder what these wheels would look like on a Rs Focus?
I'm looking at getting these brakes now but the best price i have been quote is Ł1600 in Red.

Riiiiiiightio
Rods and pistons are out of the old engine and what a ballache that was - took the sump assembly, driveshafts etc. off with the car 1ft off the ground. Got the head off and took the rods and pistons out from the top.
Note to self - get a ramp in lock up
Pics tomorrow peeps

To the best of my knowledge, no.
I haven't been able to identify a visible difference in oil pumps - i'd still recommend a billet geared item for anything track/high rev based
Now - for some pictures - forgive me if this doesn't come out right, i've just got back from the pub
I pulled the head off in a hurry a couple of weeks ago as a Torque Of The Devil customer was in desperate need of it - so forgive me if it's a big jump in pictures
Started removing the front end of the car:
Then discovered the lock up wasn't big enough to remove the engine and strip it on the floor! Doh!
So set to removing the rods and pistons with the car 1 ft off the ground - talk about a challenge!
Managed to finally get the middle sump section free from the driveshaft intermediate shaft and block - mission!
Could see the goodies waiting for me inside lol:
Sump assembly off!
Rods and Pistons out:
After a bit of a clean up:
Proper rod bolts! ARP 2000 items:
Glad i chose to do the rebuild now - think i caught it just in time - there were fret marks appearing on the bearing shells and inside the rod big end:
You can see the bearing shell on the crank here marked:
Found some innovative places to store car parts lol:
So - i'll be making some shopping lists over the break and then it's all systems go in the new year - get everything off to the machine shop and start the rebuild!
