It's listed in General Chat mate...
Ah, yes - saw you and your car! I'm not 'that' big
Thanks - i hope it'll be of interest to you!
Hi Graham! Long time no see mate! Used to love your white focus, always thought it looked hard as nails!
I think for now i'm going to just optimise what i've got engine wise, get the chassis/brakes/suspension etc. shit hot and try to learn to drive properly on track with it.
Anyone can set fast lap times with 500bhp... I'd sooner learn to drive 300bhp PROPERLY first

I've decatted it now as i found the cat had collapsed (not that surprising!) - and it is a bit better...
However - my future plans of track prepping it will see most of the suspect stuff replaced anyway

Good luck with this one Will!
Make sure you see it through, but you were right to bin the RST project! (sort of)
Cheers again for the offer on the manifold!

Hi Dan,
You were more than welcome regards the manifold mate!
I still have a WRC one without the lambda probes...
The problem (as i'm sure you're aware) is building a car from a bare shell up is phenomenally expensive and time consuming and to be honest i neither had the time nor the budget to continue what i ultimately feared would be a one trick horse...
Either which way - i've got a good 80-90% base to work with here - just needs track prepping!

Hi Dan,
Part ex'd my blue ST170 against this one - worked well for me as with the credit crunch nobody wants to buy a 2.0 16v NA car that does 280 miles to a tank for some reason
Updates:
Well - the car is slightly different now...
Decided that the mesh behind the vents in the bonnet was starting to look a bit tired, so took it out and i think it's sharpened up the front end of the car nicely!
In preparation for Ford Fair - i mounted the nitrous bits up in some leftover carbon:
And decided that a set of new shoes wouldn't go amiss!
Toyo R888s from Martoon - excellent prices and service
And the way the car was stalling out and generally not driving nicely led me to believe the cat might have collapsed...
So fitted these instead!
Afraid these were all the pics i had on my phone - i have done more - but until i get pics - i won't bore you

Oh - and i had a little cleanup and tidy round the engine bay...
In doing so - discovered the rocker cover had been resprayed in silver - when it wiped off in my hand.
Decided to (quickly) crackle black the rocker cover!

Well -finally managed to get the pics from Ford Fair sorted!
Also managed to meet up with Ian the cars previous owner and sort out the mixed up V5 documents so i could get my plates made up and on the car! (Hence the plate change half way through the pics )
Some of you may have seen it on the Fast Ford stand - for those that didn't - here you go

I'm warming more and more to the supercharger conversion! I never liked superchargers much before, couldn't stand their whine and since the most commonly supercharged car you see on the road (well for me anyway) nowadays is the Cooper S and that is a proper whiney fucker!
However, seeing one of the TOTD cars going round Silverstone (grey ST170 supercharged, stripped out and on RS rims), that sounded the absolute bollocks! Not too whiney and great noise and speed going round the track!
How does the car feel compared to a turbo car Will? Intersted to know. Can't imagine the kick will be the same as a turbo spooling up but nevertheless. Would assume a linear surge rather than a huge kick then sustained.
P.S. is it more feasible to do a supercharger conversion to the focus or turbo?
Cheers!!

Then we heard u pull off the roundabout and proper floor it. Sounded quite norty!

1) My oil temps had only just touched into 'safe' territory...
2) I didn't want Benni moaning that he didn't get to 'hear' the car lol
3) I figured if i gave it a full bore rolling burnout then Mr Diva would ring me and shout at me
As i was going back to Bradford i took the turnoff immediately opposite the exit from Deathdog Manor - gave it some stick round the roundabout and down that road... only to discover they've just resurfaced it
Few stone chips to deal with now
Sticky - yeah, i know what you mean about the stickers... It was a bit of an experiment and a water tester... I'll talk to you at some point about my thoughts and get your expert opinion
Pani_k - the car you saw at Ford Fair was Kesters' from Torque Of The Devil... Proper car that The conversion is quite involved but not 'as' bad as a turbo conversion. Drivability is nice, definitely doesn't have the torque kick you get from a turbo car - but it'll show a bolt on modded Focus RS a clean pair of heels
Billycabrio - long time no see dude!!! Yeah - still have a soft spot for the Ford scene. For some reason.

I must admit, I thought you floored it out like a cock. But yeah, I could also hear you about 2 miles away. So I assume you didn't. Do you know what this car will top out at?
