Actually they never said a word about it

I have half a dozen mates at Prodrive and i asked them who they used for their flock work, they told me Central Blast...

Well they have never said it to me and ive been usimng them for years. They have possibly never said it to Will either as we both personally know people at Prodrive and I know one of them recomended Central Blast to Will personally.

I take it they are one of your competitors as I didnt know you did flocking?

I think CBC get all the work for the Banbury workshop as they are spitting distance but the other two workshops use other people.

Been doing it for years Stu. Four infact!

Sadly not, stopped for a pizza and some more reprogramming. Still got some gremlins to chase down, but we have 36psi midrange now which is somewhat more lively in the rain. Will do one more run now then its home to bed, up with baby at 5:30am so will have to resume the work tomorrow.

Right, this is a quick update in no particular order as i'm shattered having worked a fair few 16 hour days this week and just driven 300+ miles to pick up a new clutch!

So...
Modifying the front cam cap for the VVT delete:

Tapping an M6 hole:
Name: Image0187.jpg
Views: 277
Size: 52.2 KB

Look closely, there's an M6 grub screw in there!
Name: Image0188.jpg
Views: 241
Size: 55.4 KB

Then it was off to get the 888s fitted to the new rims:
Name: Image0190.jpg
Views: 228
Size: 67.6 KB

[IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/STslayer/SC%20ST170%
20Rebuild/Image0191.jpg[/IMG]

Name: Image0197.jpg
Views: 242
Size: 88.3 KB

Then on with making a start fitting the APs:
Name: Image0195.jpg
Views: 235
Size: 65.3 KB

Name: Image0196.jpg
Views: 238
Size: 41.3 KB

Some of you will have spotted the rotor is on the wrong way round, only because i've been mocking up how to mount a speed sensor in the mounting bracket:
Name: Image0192.jpg
Views: 271
Size: 68.1 KB
(We'll come back to that when i've finished it!)

New nitrous bottle mounting bracket and quick release fasteners arrived:
Name: Image0203.jpg
Views: 224
Size: 81.7 KB

Name: Image0204.jpg
Views: 227
Size: 38.2 KB

Bit of time spent on the dash bits:
Name: Image0208.jpg
Views: 242
Size: 60.5 KB

And modified a 2.0 Zetec cambelt cover:
Name: Image0205.jpg
Views: 240
Size: 116.6 KB

Name: Image0206.jpg
Views: 241
Size: 88.4 KB

Modified the coilpack bracket so No.4 lead wasn't rubbing on the aeroquip fitting:
Name: Image0210.jpg
Views: 245
Size: 89.4 KB

Took the snout off the supercharger just to check for any damage on the gear teeth and put fresh oil in:
Name: Image0216.jpg
Views: 232
Size: 91.4 KB

Then it was on with the final build:
Name: Image0215.jpg
Views: 235
Size: 75.9 KB

Name: Image0217.jpg
Views: 231
Size: 87.1 KB

Finishing up with this:
Name: Image0223.jpg
Views: 276
Size: 75.4 KB

Hopefully blitz things a bit more this week!

Wenny - speak to you tomorrow

Paul - hopefully soon!

Todays work:

Stuck the old 17s on to move the car round - perfect justification of the new 18s lol

Then carpeted the boot floor:

Size: 38.3 KB

Name: Image0231.jpg
Views: 250

And the rear doorcard area - i've got carbon doorcards (front and back) on order - they'll go over the top:
Name: Image0234.jpg
Views: 272
Size: 77.3 KB

Then my mate Dave (davemurphy007) popped over and lent a hand putting the dash back in:
Name: Image0236.jpg
Views: 267
Size: 44.7 KB

New gearknob and handbrake:
Name: Image0238.jpg
Views: 252

Go go footwell dave!
Name: Image0244.jpg
Views: 245
Size: 43.8 KB

And just to massage his ego a little more:
Name: Image0247.jpg
Views: 243
Size: 45.1 KB

End result:
Name: Image0250.jpg
Views: 267

More as it follows

Dash setup looks very good.
How come your keeping the aircon but not a stereo? Surely the whining of the charger will eventualy do your head in on the way to the ring and will need drowning out with something

Yes - keeping standard steering wheel - i want an airbag there just in case

Dashes are a bit of a twat to remove as well, perfectly doable, just make sure you don't need to go anywhere that day
