Thanks to James (bigjim172000) I got a full set of clips to the inner arches today. All four wings were also available at Ford so they are ordered as well
Glad to hear they turned up ok

I've been thinking of painting the underbody white but is there some other good solutions except from spraying the color base on?
I haven't fitted the tank yet but i've only got the original strap at the mo anyway, would like to get a new one though. I have heard of a few problems with the fitting of aftermarket straps though...

Well I went a different route with mine and waxoyled the underside of mine by brushing it on... I really like the black underside against the white body myself and am really happy with it, depends what look you're after I suppose....

I think I'll go for a white underside but is there some kind of white dye base I can use for brushing it on? I guess not usual car lacquer/paint will work here. What kind of primer is recommended?

Cheers Karl

I only use common degreaser to spray on and a lot of paper to get the dirt off. Last sunday I cleaned the rest of the underside like under the tank, spare wheel bottom etc. Going to take some pictures of it in the weekend. Haven't got time to do any progress on the car this week

No problem pal

Let's hope it will only be going over this winter as I really want to drive my saff next summer. I must fix three broken bolts to the manifold as well as it is causing much vibration and noise on the turbo side, but I guess that won't take such time. But you know, once you've started....

It's cold in Norway now so I must get hold of a heater for the garage before I can do any more work, or else I'll get stuck under the car freezing to death...

Battery on the camera was of course empty when I was in the garage previous weekend but I have cleaned most of the back now. Took the bumper off and spotted a little area with rust that I must fix. In the weekend I will probably begin cleaning the rest of the underside as I have decided to paint it all white. Looking forward to it....ehhh not!

Many thanks mates

@mirkules: Can't wait to mount all the new and shiny parts, that's no doubt the best part of it, but I have a lot of work in front of me before that stage. Hope to get some work done in the weekend but it's Christmas party at the work today so we'll see how crapulous I am tomorrow first, lol.

Have you bought the fuel pump cradle from Ford?

How much did you have to pay for it? I'm after one as well.

Hi Arne,
No, they are not available from Ford anymore but I was lucky to get hold of one from a guy in Norway. He offered me to buy it for 300 NOK and I couldn't say no then

Thanks Marco. Yes, it is a bit to early I think but since the Christmas committee was so slow and late this year we just had to take what we could get. I was in good mood yesterday but now I'm ready to work on the car this weekend

looking forward to seeing you trashing it at autoslaloms and valerbanen!

Cheers Ole Yep, I know, going to ask my Ford dealer if it's possible to get some new ones. If not I must try to fix them on sort of way.

Looking forward to drive the car again also, hopefully next season. Well, time to go to the garage now. Updates follows tonight

It's time for a little update again. Since the battery on the camera was empty last weekend I wasn't able to snap some pics but here is what it looked like before I started with the sandpaper.

Size: 132.7 KB

Name: cosresto56.jpg

I also removed the bumper, was a little bit nervous of what I was going to see but it looks good under here also.

Here is the spot of rust I was talking about

Name: cosresto60.jpg
Views: 724

And after some rusteater it looked like this...

Seen from the other side.

Name: cosresto61_2.jpg
Views: 772
Size: 110.1 KB

Here is how it looks like now.

Name: cosresto62.jpg
Views: 814
Size: 105.6 KB

As you can spot in the background and also underneath the car I have removed both fuelpipes that goes to the fuel rail and regulator + the brake pipe.

Name: cosresto64.jpg

Name: cosresto66.jpg
Views: 766
Size: 112.9 KB

Name: cosresto67.jpg
Views: 753
Size: 117.6 KB

I'm a little unsure of what to do with the fuel and brake pipes. Should I go for braided hoses all the way or make some replacement pipes?

Thanks Marco I'm a newbie when it comes to aeroquip so what kind of connectors and stuff do I need? What hose size is recommended from the regulator and fuel rail?

And do I need this part that is shown on the pic below?

Great, I'll take a look then

I need a new hose from the filter to the 941 pump and the banjo unions have both 8mm pipe tail. Noticed now that the original banjo unions were a size smaller so I can't use the original hose. Anyone knows what hose size that is used for 8mm pipe tail?

Finally a litte update again. Been really busy this month but managed to work on the car the past two days. Didn't think I was going to get finished with peeling of the undersealing but I'm very near now - my arms are tired today....lol

Passenger floor done I would say.

Took off the sideskirts as well. Will do a little resto on these with new paint and those "fantastic" clips.

Name: cosresto77.jpg

Both donut bushes in the rear beam and trailing arms are now out so all the parts is actually ready to be blastered and powdercoated. Think I have changed my mind regarding the bushes in the trailing arms, the original ones seems to be very loosen so I guess I'll put in some new Powerflex ones.

Have also bought a new Sparco strut brace for rear, hope this will relieve the tops enough when using coilovers.
