Because I like em.
And not every cunts got one.
And big ass 4door cars look madder when doing stuff.
But the spec and ability of this one did play a big part in it, tho I wanted one for ages, and if I got one id end up modding it in the same way (barring the RB26, as they come with an engine just as good as standard).

deffo have some fun 1st!
only immediate plans are wheels, which wont take it off the road, a cage which shouldnt take it off for long, graphics once the cage is done, and hydraulic handbrake and line lock, both should take less than a day.
im sure ill think of other stuff once it arrives tho, but thats the beuty of buying a complete weapon already, no need to have it off the road much for mods!

Well, I now have a mental RB26 Chaser on my drive!
Went to the docks today, and after all the worry and uncertainty of when I was ment to collect the car (wasnt too impressed with WW's telephone people!), when I actually went to the docks it was all easy and painless, and I wasnt the only DW member there getting a car either!
30quid train to S'hampton, 5quid taxi to the docks, and I was there.
Rolled in to WW expecting the worst, but it was fine and easy...
![](https://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/monkeymagic/IMG_6270.jpg)
Then went and found the car, looking rather dirty but still cool as.
MUCH more purple and much more metalflake than it looks in pics/vids id ever seen, its old-skool tacky pimp-tastic, awesome!

Nothing seemed to have been stolen by gypsies or pirates, the RB26 sounded WAY sweeter than I expected, and the digi dash works, as for some reason I had it in my mind it didnt work, but it does!
Then I was off, fucked tyres n all, to go find some fuel. 30quid Super and a bottle of octane booster and its time to head for home.
Tho I had no map, no satnav, and couldnt remember the way, so guessed...
After a bit of randomness I got to the motorway and stopped at a garage to look at a map, realised I was going about the right way and went jumped back in and turn the key.
Nothing![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/shocked.gif)
Went to the boot to see the battery (in a really cool alloy battery box, another thing I didnt realise it had). And realised the trip switch had flicked off somehow, so reset that and off I went.
Fook it shifts nicely! A combo of it being fucking fast and fucked tyres means it was burnoutanating at every oppertunity, and with a straight thru pipe all the way to the small backbox, its bastard loud and sounds awesome![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
Shoots flames too!
As a huge loud unusual purple car with no numberplates and no front bumper would, the car was attracting a mental amount of attention on the way home, exactly what I didnt want with tyres like that!
Somehow the world seemed to be crawling with 5-0 today and twice I had police cars go after me, 1st time I shot off down a little lane and escapanated, 2nd time I thought it was game over, Omega traffic car, but he just dissapeared, literally, was bizzare, maybe I should belive in god now...
For a car slammed on Billies the ride isnt too bad, but the last 45mins or so of the journey was almost agony as although that Bride seat is really suportive and comfy overall, its lack of bum padding really hurts after a few hours!
Anyway, somehow I got home without being pulled by the police, so gave the car a very quick wash and took some more pics (with my S12s plate on it, jus to see how it looked...)

Overall its as I expected really, so im happy.
Bodywork isnt bad, got the expected amount (ie a fair bit, but all minor stuff u cant see from more than a meter or two away) drifty battle damage which will easy be polished out or covered up by graphics.
Clutch is a multiplate as you can hear it, but dead easy to use.
Diff makes all the usual plated diff noises and seems ok.
Suspension makes no bad noises, seems ok.
Engine is sweet, sounds sweeter than I expected, RB26s are never quiet, but this one seems healthy as can be.
Digi dash works, which suprised me.
Nice battery box in boot i didnt know existed.
Remote oil filter is a nice bonus too.
And no BOV's, which is nice, lol.
Overall, fooking good!
Few minorish issues...
Tyres fooked, but not suprised.
Prob will tidy up fitment of bodykit as it not the best at mo, but easy DIY fix. Minor scrapes etc too, but expected that so dont care.
No way are the wheels 9inch wide, but still nice, and they going anyhow.
Bonnet pins broke so will need to buy new ones.
Few switches and random wires around, no idea what they do, nothing i can work out at mo anyhow?!?
Only major issue, which prob is a minor issue, is indicators dont work, front or rear.
Shouldnt be too hard to sort tho.
Hope brake lights work considering how far I drove home, not checked, lol.
But overall MEGA happy! I have a Chaser

Awesome!
Much respect for going the whole hog getting such an unusal car shipped from the other side of the world rather than just getting something samey from here...... and especially much respect for not trailoring it home

PT-
Issues- Me too! I knew itd be no minter bodywise as its been a full on competition car in Japan, and besides, Japs are TERRIBLE at body repairs, so id say im quite lucky in that respect.
And most stuff that comes over by boat gets either lil things nicked or damaged, but mine seems fine.
Also Rick was straight up with me about stuff it seems so i knew what I was getting.
Spoiler- So did I, lol, but I slagged it off so much to Rick he removed it for me before it left, lol.
Holes have been quickly filled and pained, so can still see they there, but only from up close, and were too small to fill with rubber gromets, so glad he did actually.
ADE-
It was a bit scary at times, the importing, but really easy to be honest, and saved me a fortune. spent about 3500quid all in on what over here would be about a 8000quid car!
TBH if i had a trailer, or was less wreckless, idve not driven it, esp as its a long way, but fuck it, im daft, only live once, and it was a fun journey

Years ago (when I was even dafter) and I'd just got my LHD Escort first thing I did was go down the local cruise to show it off to my mates!
Complete with Dutch plates, no tax, MOT or insurance!

No idea how I didn't get gang raped by the entire Traffic division that night

Si- RB26 is quite hard, custom engine and box mounts, custom prop, modded gear stick, and masses of wiring mods as nissan engine in a toyota means nothing works.
Pointless tho, the 1JZ engine they come with as standard is just as good as an RB26, and the easy swap, the 2JZ engine, is WAY better, so anyone in their right mind would just do that!
Just some crazy fool decided to RB26 this one...
