Is there a gearbox mounted off of that already? Or just a trial fit of engine on its own?

Looks well at home in there

nice to see everybody gettin along n providing encouragement lol

regardless of what a few lesser mortals think dude, i reckon its a pretty sick motor, was mental enough before, but id say your now verging on borderline insane with the lump your building, so thats gotta be respected!

like the collection of turbos too, my mate has some rediculous sized items he was muchin about with for his rx7, but id say yours take some beating haha

just so you all stay informed (i see this car a lot,as ive been doing a lot of help),not a lot has happened recently, steve is currently collecting a LOT of parts from all over the world, and once they are all here the build will commence.
chip:
that pic was just us mocking the engine in the bay, wooden engine mounts,no box,but plenty of space for one.main problem was turbo positioning, but we seem to have an awesome answer for that!

I saved the driftworks thread on my favourites and check it when I remember. Shame Stav doesn't want to update on here anymore but never mind. Is shaping up to be quite a machine so looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Right, don't know how many of you were genuinely interested in this but I was and have been checking driftworks for a while to see how the car was getting on. From what I gather, Stavros has been trying hard to get somebody to get the car to in order to get it done but it seems nobody was willing to take it on due to being busy or whatever so those of you that said it won't get finished, well done, it hasn't:

http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drif...-cage-etc.html

However, its sale I think was really forced by Stavros' new purchase

http://www.driftworks.com/forum/powe...-fc3s-rx7.html

I was genuinely interested in this build, so disappointed it never got done, but hey ho.

I was desperate to see the V8 done, but never liked the Chaser, it was pig ugly and gay looking.... IMHO.

However he has managed to go one better, that RX7 is terrible looking. The Rotary helps slightly but I just don't see the attraction. But if it floats his boat

Shame he bailed out, would have been interesting to see it done.

I guess like most folk chatting on forums he is better at starting projects than finishing them
