Yeah pretty much, not a roundabout or anything though.
My fault for showing off and changing up a gear, always unsettles it, but usually can hold it, but the clouds of smoke made me push it a bit more than I shouldve I guess.
My fault for driving like a dick, tho ive done the same thing loads, no big deal.
Really should learn to keep it to drift practice days tho, can go off 10 times worse and do less damage.

Me n BonBon picked up this amazingly clean and mint and amazing 81 a little while ago, and after listening to a friends wise and sensible words, we decided to do a "full build" on it, with the most power, widest arches, the dishiest rims, gayest japanese slogans all over it, biggest cage, and the most ridiculous rear wing the world, dare we say the UNIVERSE has ever seen.
It was going to be sickkkkcikcikciikkccckkk and blow the drift scenes minds, not to mention take around 7 years to complete.

Then we stopped taking the piss, and with the help of mates Ant and Clarkey (well all Clarkey really did was do a burnout in his LDV van and go home) smashed the shit out of it with hammers and disk cutters (and a steering wheel!), robbed all the good bits for spares for our cars, and then scrapped it.

We wanted the windscreen TBH, but Bon smashed it, lol.
How the hell Ant got the mega thin and light rear screen out without breaking it is beyond me tho considering how easy the front laminated one broke!

I been busy today too...
Take one GX81 bonnet, and draw on it with a marker pen
![Name: Resized_IMG_8194.jpg

Then get one bonnet vent thing on ebay and cut the vent holes out

Then get a big disk cutter and chop a massive hole in the bonnet

Then get the rivet gun out and you end up with this

Yeah the bonnet looks the bollocks, well, knew it would as its almost the same as Bonbons...
![](http://media.driftworks.com/articles/2008EDCRd1/Bon2.jpg)
Tho I think mine is even bigger actually.
Regarding colour match, well I need to spray both bumpers and the bonnet now, and TBH the whole car, tho looks mint in pics, is fucked paint-wise.
So this may be the end for the purpleness...

NOOO!!
I think it looked the bollocks in purple and really suited it for some strange reason. Be different! Also, if it's going to be a fun car i.e. gets used properly instead of mollycoddled and fannied about in then maybe a respray would be a good idea when you got a lot of time and money on your hands as it will probably get fucked up again.

And the car is smashed to fuck and the paint looked shite less than 6ft away since ive owned it, so thats never gonna be an issue either.
Trust me, big gay purpleness might go, but for me anyhow, it will always look as good or better, I dont do fancyness and looking after shit, and i certainly dont do the shit every other cunt does, as you can prob tell by the car anyhow...

Purpleness is deffo fucking off now. I have a plan, a cunning plan.
RB26 nearly was fucking off too considering I happen to have a mint 1969 351W block which are good for 800bhp+ and fully forged stroker kits that would take that to 6.8litres are only 700quid...
But I decided against it after some sums and shit, but coming soon will be engine, gearbox, and rear diff coolers, to give it all a fighting chance to live with the stupid way I drive.
Another bit of good news is the combo of the Chaser rear diff ratio and Skyline gearbox ratio has made the car quite a top speed weapon it seems...
Even on fairly skinny 225/40s (I can get 265s on the back if need be) it only needs to pull 7900rpm in 5th to hit 200mph, and even the STANDARD rev limit on RB26s are 8250, and peak power on a half decent turbo is nigh on 8k anyhow quite often, so thats good.
Aside from that, I bought TWO spoilers for the car today... Yeah, two.
But now I have one![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
As I brutally massacred two rare 1970s Mk1 Escort ducktail racing car spoilers to create one that fits a big ol Chaser![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
Big Gay Wings are gay. Fact.
Copying every other fucker and not using your imagination is gay. Fact.
So I thought as ive been covered in filler and fibreglass for the last month anyhow I may as well knock myself up a spoiler I like.
I like Nascar/Boso/70s race cars, and the car looks like its from the 70s anyhow, and only people who did anything like that really thats off the shelf for anything was the Rocket Bunny stuff for Silvias, which is awesomeomeomeomeome, but rare/expensive, and for Silvias, so no good for me.

But in the 70s a fair few racers, Especially Fords and Porsches, had this style, but finding these spoilers still was no easy task, but I managed it.
I had a feeling theyd be too narrow, and they was, by about 2 inches, so chopped two, and with much fibreglass love this evening, made this...

Its pretty fucking big too, as expected, bigger than the ones on the Silvia above, which is nice.
Its 7inches tall!![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
Needs a bit of work both ends to sit flush with the bootlid, but even with no mods it sits flush 3/4 of the way along the back, and all the way along the front.
Will rivet it on like the bonnet and any good race car.
Tried it on the car, looks mint, just wanna finish off all my bodywork and paint the car now...

And as 700bhp from a YB is far from impossible, whats the point? Thats enough to run 9s in a big Skyline, never mind a Escort.
Not to mention its loads longer and wont fit in the enginebay without a custom bulkhead etc.
The car will now be white or black. I like both. Prob black.
And this is what the spoiler looks like on a Mk1 Escort.
