Time for a small update on the work on the bonnet ,spent a bit of time on it today cutting out the vents on the saff bonnet,and finding the right location on the mk 4 bonnet,here is some pics of what was done.
Finding the best position
My mate Dave getting to work
One 4x4 bonnet ready for the tip
Will be altering the swage lines a little bit so it all blends in.
Still to remove the inner skin ,will do thet on friday and start to cut out the mk4 bonnet

More progress was made tonight ,got one of the vents welded in 
here is some piccys of the work
The inner skin on the vents was removed and the metal trimmed up so it would not foul the inner skin on the escort bonnet
Bonnet marked out and cut .
Test fit.
Doing a bit of reshaping ,as the saff bonnet has a swage line in a different place
All cleaned up
Starting to tack weld it into place
Starting to weld into place ,bit by bit as to prevent the bonnet getting too hot .
Welds cleaned up
Still to clean up the welds on the back
Really pleased with how it is looking at the moment ,will start on the other one next week
