really nice car mate and your attention to detail is second to none you must be really good at model building as well! (i see you are a tamiya owner) ive built many escos's by tamiya and own two RS500's texaco and a black standard (tamiya unfortunately not real) pity they never did an S1 or S2 eh. keep up with the pics really wabt to see the bonnet finished and what did you do with the RS 7's i really liked them when your car was a feature i'd love a set on my S1 XR3i they really suit with the RWD offset. hope my resto goes as well as your modifications and like PF said in the feature FORD freally should have done the fabric on the tailgate! do the orion doorcard fit S2 2dr cards? let me know mate i reallylike to adapt some of your ideas into S1 terms! keep up the good work!!!

Time to post a very small update to keep you happy lol
After seeing Colin McRaes mk11 rally car in fast ford ,i liked what they did with the bonnet pins ,recessed in to the bonnet ,so have decided to do the same ,we will probably make them from steel ,as i think the ones on the mk11 look like carbon ,and we will weld them in so they are part of the bonnet ,so they will be all smooth around the recess

One of the things I always liked about the Sapph 4x4 when it came out was the perfectly recessed bonnet vents - excellent idea to put them on the S2 - excellently implemented too. Quality work there
